    HI!!! HELP!!!!

You go into your profile and just change your screen name. It'll pass either Carl or Sara's desk, and they'll approve it.

    HI!!! HELP!!!!

Geez, why don't you just go the whole nine yards and change it to hd. Then your attempts to be like me would be complete.

    HI!!! HELP!!!!

*sniff* Is there a problem here?
  4. You have your folks to thank for that. Isn't that cool? Man, bluesy, that's a lot of versions. I will have to sift and see if I can find the match.
  5. Ah...the game's afoot, Watson!!! Whaddaya mean having to listen to Sinatra? You don't care for Frank??!!

    HI!!! HELP!!!!

All your posts are gone, too. I just tried to notify you by pm, but it says there are no records of 'HD' in exsistence.
  7. Plus, Quint is one of the best movie characters of all time. Quint: Gamin' fish eh? Marlin? Stingray? Bit through this piano wire? Don't you tell me my business again! Now you get up on the bridge... Hooper: Quint, that doesn't prove a damn thing! Quint: Well it proves one thing Mr. Hooper. It proves that you wealthy college boys don't have the education enough to admit when you're wrong. That's one of my favorite parts of the movie.
  8. I was driving home this evening, listening to Sinatra, and 'Luck Be A Lady' came on. Who is the woman singing with him? I have heard this song hundreds of times, and always loved that woman's voice. I hunted around, but couldn't find who it is.
  9. I loooove this movie. I have seen it more times than I can count. It changed the psyche of an entire generation, and those changes are still apparent today. Who doesn't go into the water, or into the ocean on a boat, and not think about sharks? Jaws did that.
  10. I am 41. That is the country music I grew up with, even though most of the names I mentioned were at the height of their popularity when I was still maybe 3-5 years old. You can go further back, to Hank Williams, Jimmy Martin and the Sunny Mountain Boys, Ralph Stanley and the Clinch Mountain Boys, The Bill Sky Family, Bryan Bowers, Mac Wiseman, Don Edwards, The Sons of the San Joaquin, The Lewis Family, Druha Trava, John Hartford, Stoney Lonesome, Peter Ostroushko, Dave Para and Cathy Barton, Norman and Nancy Blake, The Rarely Herd, Jay Ungar and Molly Mason, Bill Grant and Delia Bell, Grandpa Jones and too many more to name. The only reason I named the ones I did, is because those are the ones I cut my teeth on growing up. I am fortunate in the fact that my Mom had a wide variety of tastes when it came to music. I know and love more Motown than any semi-middle aged white guy from Suburbia, USA has a right. One enigma from my younger days is John Denver. I love his stuff, and own a lot of it, because my Mom listened to him. He's not straight country, but he's not straight folk, either.
  11. This can be said of just about any genre.
  12. Oh, I think it's already common knowledge this guy doesn't have any musical knowledge. I just want him to prove it.
  13. George Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue" ROCKS!!!
  14. To set the record straight, the stuff that's being released today isn't country music. Now, there are some that can sound country when they take a notion. For the most part, though, it's all part of the mutation of music. Give me Charlie Rich, Dolly Parton, Waylon, Conway, Loretta, Patsy, Tammy Wynette. That's country. Heck, some of the Stone's stuff is more country than most country artists today. I'm waiting for Bluesboy to chime in with his links, so I can scavange through them and find stuff to download.
  15. Slightly roughing it? Please. And put some damn pants on, tramp!!
  16. Alan Jackson wrote 1 meaniful, heartfelt song, and left it at that. Toby Keith wrote a dozen 'yea, we're America, and we'll whoop you' songs, and rode that cash cow as far as he could. Man, you talk about cashing in on someone else's heartache, that moron is right at the top of the list.
  17. Thanks, Unc, for p*ssing me off, first thing this morning. This is enraging. Selling your child as advertising space. I better leave this thread and just not think about it.

    US vs UK

Who cares? The bottom line is, the music fans win.
  19. Oh, I know what you're talking about. I remember there were actually 2-3 of them on the radio back then. I don't know what they are called, but I will certainly look.
  20. At least we won't have to listen to her sing. Or talk for that matter. Wow. Did I just say that?
  21. Alice Cooper's band kicks some serious butt. Check out any of his stuff from the 70's. Their musicianship is all about attention to detail.
