blind-fitter
What a double bummer. Whilst browsing the obituaries to Paul Raven of post-punk legends Killing Joke and industrial giants Ministry, I also learned of the recent death of Lance Hahn. Lance Hahn came to my attention in his capacity as a writer for internationally-read punk/hardcore magazine "Maximum Rock'n'Roll". I wouldn't normally remember one punk music journalist from another, except that Lance Hahn had the rare distinction of giving my own band's debut album a glowing review in that hallowed tome, and included it in his "Playlist". That sort of thing sticks in the amateur musician's memory. As well as fronting the internationally-known rock band J Church, Lance Hahn had also worked with Beck, as well as producing records and running an independent record label. Levis
Did you ever get to say 'hi... thanks!' to him?
blind-fitter
Ummm..no. I never met him: he in the States, me in the north of England, our paths didn't cross. Should I have written to him, perhaps? Maybe that's where went wrong; forgetting to say "thanks" to those who gave us glowing reviews.
Levis
Well it would've been nice. And he'd have given you the glowing review in person. Who doesn't want to hear nice things about them?
