Lucky
***From Yahoo Entertainment Music Blogs, Sept. 6, 2007, by Lindsay Parker: "...dancing days are here again, because the three surviving members of Led Zeppelin are finally getting back together! Yep, hard rock fans still dazed and confused by recent news of the long-delayed Van Halen reunion have even more reason to celebrate, now that this even longer-delayed reunion is reportedly in the works. Incredibly, according to NME.com, frontman Robert Plant is in talks this week with fellow Led Zep legends Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones about a Zeppelin tour that'll hopefully kick off in London this November. Presumably late drummer John Bonham's son, Jason Bonham (last seen banging skins for celebreality band Damnocracy on VH1's Supergroup), will fill in behind the drumkit for the Zep trek; since Damnocracy mouthpiece Sebastian Bach is busy trying to launch a hip-hop career on MTV's Celebrity Rap Superstars (more on that HERE), we're guessing Damnocracy are on indefinite hiatus and Jason will therefore thankfully be free..." ...ok if this happens, no offence to The Eagles, Hell will have truly frozen over! Keep your fingers crossed!
Super Ry 71
And doesn't this sound so much like another so-called reunion.
Farin
Led Zeppelin reform [smaller](Tuesday September 11, 2007 10:13 AM) yahoo.co.uk[/smaller] Jimmy Page and Robert Plant have often played together under their own names but up until recently they have been prevented from using the hallowed name Led Zeppelin. Bass player John Paul Jones retained a twenty five percent ownership of the name and up until now has refused to let the band reform. The other quarter is owned by drummer John Bonham's son, Jason and all four will make up the band. The group who, along with Black Sabbath, have been instrumental in influencing nearly all strands of hard rock and heavy metal since, have not played together since their original drummer's death in 1980. Full details of their reformation will be announced at a press conference at the O2 Arena in London tomorrow (Wednesday September 12) but the gig is rumoured to be a one off for charity held at the dome on November 26. musiclvr
On one hand I'm thrilled on the other wondering what it will be like, I saw Zeppelin and can't imagine what this would be like, different. Been so long since the end of Zeppelin, tough one. But being a fan, I still am excited, never thought I would see this happen, cool!
Super Ry 71
Guess I'm wrong. *sigh* They'd better not play 'Stairway To Heaven', due to Plant somehow being able to screw it up in recent years. If they just extend 'No Quarter' that would be fine. And they can play whatever else they want, just as long as they play 'Communication Breakdown' and/or 'Heartbreaker' as well. They should know why.
