Mike 2 Report post Posted August 29, 2007 The image forever associate with this song ... Songfacts - Don't You (Forget About Me) One of the most important films to come out of the eighties is strongly identified with this song. I just watched the uncut complete version for the first time in about 20 years. As the lyrics suggest “Tell me your troubles and doubts giving me everything inside and out and love's strange so real in the dark think of the tender things that we were working on†Oh to remember the struggles of adolescence and the pressures associate with the social structures in high school. Wow, there are some really deep and strong emotions from this era in anyone’s life, don’t you think? Dear Mr. Vernon: We accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole Saturday in detention for whatever it was we did wrong. But, we think you're crazy to make us write an essay telling you who we think we are. You see us as you want to see us: in the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions But, what we found out is that each one of us is: a brain . . . And an athlete . . . And a basket case . . . A princess . . . And a criminal. Does that answer your question? Sincerely yours, ~The Breakfast Club

And I was out of school when it came out, but love to see the movie whenever I can and remember what my life was like back then and smile and feel young. Which I try to do everyday, only as old as you feel.
