Variety reports that The Gospel According To Janis will go before the cameras in Philadelphia this November and star Zooey Deschanel (Almost Famous, Elf). Deschanel replaces Pink, who had long been in the running to play the late singer. In related news, the proposed reality show to find "the next Joplin" has been shelved. Woman Left Lonely Try Me and Bobby McGee Ball and Chain Little Girl Blue Maybe Summertime Turtle Blues These are ones I love to listen to, will have to think on this some more.
