(House arrest in Alpine, NJ is like house arrest in Malibu for those not familiar with NJ-ronjon) Lil' Kim Released From Prison Rapper Lil' Kim celebrated America's Independence Day with her family after being released from jail on Monday. The "Lady Marmalade" hitmaker, 31, had been incarcerated in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, since September after she was convicted of lying to a federal grand jury over a 2001 shooting outside a New York radio station. Lil' Kim - real name Kimberly Jones - will remain under house arrest for 30 days in Alpine, New Jersey, after being released more than two months early thanks to her good behaviour. The "How Many Licks" rapper spent much of the day enjoying mother-daughter time with her mother Ruby Jones, the New York Daily News reports. Ruby says, "She's happy to be home."
