Quick question about submissions

[Chris Akanora]

About how long should I generally expect between the time songfacts are submitted and the time they appear? I contributed facts for "Love Potion #9" a bit over a month ago and still have not seen it. My previous submissions, took about two or three weeks. I'm not impatient, merely curious as I'd like to show it to someone. Thank you, and thanks for providing this service.

Hi Chris.

Your entry for Love Potion #9 went up in our update late Sunday. Thanks for the great Songfacts.

It's about a month between when Songfacts are submitted and when they appear online, but sometimes longer if we need to research them.

Thank you, that tells me what I need to know.

It might be a good idea to have a database, if this is not too much work, for "Your Songfacts," showing a user's submissions. I mean something that would be similar to amazon.com's feature in which one can view all of a particular user's (including one's own) book and film reviews.

that would be kind of cool... something to think about for the future, Carl?

That is a good idea. It would take a bit of restructuring because the credits are embedded into the Songfacts, but I like the idea of sorting by contribution. We have a code cleanup in the works, followed by development of Song Fallacies and Lyrical Pursuit, but that might be our next project.
