Singer Art Garfunkel has given two speeches to high school students on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle as part of his community service after being arrested last year for marijuana possession. The star, who with Paul Simon made up the duo Simon & Garfunkel, chose community service over paying a $100 fine. Ulster County, New York district attorney Donald Williams said the 64-year-old singer spoke at two Hudson Valley, New York schools in late March. Garfunkel was found with a marijuana cigarette in his ashtray after being pulled over for running a stop sign in Woodstock, New York. It was the second time in less than two years that Garfunkel, a Manhattan resident, was arrested for marijuana possession in Ulster County. Williams, who attended Garfunkel's speech, says, "He was sincere, thoughtful and impressive.
