RonJonSurfer Posted July 8, 2005 Report Share Posted July 8, 2005 London Bombings Force R.E.M. to Postpone Their Gig Rockers R.E.M. have rescheduled their Hyde Park show in London this weekend to allow police to revamp security in the wake of bomb attacks on the British capital. The group will now perform at the site of London's Live 8 concert eight days later on July 16. Queen has already rescheduled their planned gig in Hyde Park Friday as a mark of respect to those who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks, which rocked London Thursday. The rockers will now perform in the park next Saturday. Meanwhile, Sum 41, Nate James, El Presidente all scrapped shows in London Thursday night, and Queens of the Stone Age's two shows in the capital are to be rescheduled at a later date.
