Uncle Joe Posted June 2, 2005 Report Posted June 2, 2005 Did anyone else catch the two-hour broadcast of The Eagles Farewell Tour concert from Melbourne last night on NBC? It was taped of course. What a great show. Theses guys may look quite a bit older (except for Timothy B. Schmidt who looks the same as he did 30 years ago) but they still sound great. They did all the hits including a few of the later things. Joe Walsh was especially entertaining. Life's been good to him, so far. The concert/TV producers lined the first few rows of the concert seats with beautiful young women. I think I saw our own Katie Sane in there. Anyway, who says ther's nothin' good on TV?
miamisammy29 Posted June 2, 2005 Report Posted June 2, 2005 I saw most of it. I was switching back and forth between that and the Red Sox game (who, coincidentally, got bombed by the Orioles). I thought it could have been much better. I thought there were at least 20 or 30 better songs that they could have thrown in. It was way too laid back. These guys used to rock hard. It was okay, but I would have been very disappointed if I paid 150 bucks to see it.
Steel2Velvet Posted June 7, 2005 Report Posted June 7, 2005 I didn't see it. Did Don Henley play drums or just hold a microphone?
_jr_ Posted June 7, 2005 Report Posted June 7, 2005 I saw parts of it. I think Joe Walsh is one of those underrated guitarists. Plus, he's a funny guy.
