He released a few critically acclaimed records in the 1960s, but failed to become a popular act. He became more successful as a jingle writer throughout the '70s and '80s. So many obvious ones too like "Stairway to Heaven" ('Taurus' from Spirit) and the one you mentioned (Dazed and Confused). It's possible they settled this manner out of court but who knows.
