Catherine Posted April 5, 2004 Report Posted April 5, 2004 In the 70's, the bond between Carly Simon & James Taylor was matrimonial.
Guest Posted April 5, 2004 Report Posted April 5, 2004 Any thought Catherine on whether James and Carol where intimately involved while James was married to Carly? Thanks, CHAFF, and sorry for the speeeling!
Catherine Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 Nope! Personal lives of any artists that boring (JT and Carole King) is as much fun as watching paint dry. :: PS...instead of always apologizing for your spelling, why not type everything in Word, use spell check, then copy and paste your posts here? ::
windy1 Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 I don't know about anyone's personal lives, but I would never call either Taylor or King boring- just a different genre that all 3 artists belong to. Carly Simon I'll give you-maybe. But Taylor and King are a whole other level. Plus King's got a whole list of song writing credits done by other artists, . They both write and sing about feelings from the heart and sometimes we just need to hear those feelings, good or bad.
Catherine Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 Sorry...I worded that improperly. OOPS! Give me a dope slap! I meant BORING personal lives of artists JT and Carole King - it doesnt exactly intrigue me to imagine their sex lives. ::
Guest Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 I had heard that James was cheating with Carol King, and that was the reason for the breakup with Carly. That is all I was wondering!
cadillac_coffin Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 Carole King spells it with an "e" at the end since we are being nit-picky. What about adding Mick Jagger to the equation? What is the connection with him? Besides "You're So Vain" Shackwater Jack
MuzikTyme Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 Jagger sang backup for Carly in You're So Vain as well being a suspect to the title. I still think it was Warren Beatty. Certainly not Russ Kunkel, Taylor's drummer, since they were already divorced and You're So Vain was Way Too Old. Carly didn't mind beating on a different drum. Out of the three, I've always deemed King to be the most talented/versatile and keeping her private life where it should be, in private. Taylor and Simon's wedding was as big as Burton/Taylor's. So much for till death do you part, one decade seemed enough for them. Jeeze, I sound like an old lady. Where's the old-lady-with-a-walker smiley?
