GILD Posted November 15, 2004 Report Share Posted November 15, 2004 hi i'm dave, a 37 year old unicycling radio presenter from johannesburg in south africa as the thread title indicates, i'm trying to find a live recording of a Skynyrd concert where the audience sings Free Bird a friend of mine played me such a version a couple of years ago i've subsequently lost touch with him (his name is Gerald Priestley and i know he's somewhere in the UK - just in case) if anyone can point me in the direction of a catalogue number for such a recording, i'd be mighty appreciative send word NAMASTE! dave Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The audience does yell for them to play Free Bird at the begining of the song, though. "Play it pretty for Atlanta" That album also has the best version of 'Crossroads', IMO. Lynyrd Skynyrd just released the live album for the Vicious Cycle tour (which I got to see, thank you very much) and contains all the greatest Skynyrd songs live. But remember, this is not Ronnie singing, this is Johnny singing from this past year. "Lyve" is the title of the ablum. This should be easier to find as it was just recently released.
