Otokichi
A YouTube video about the "greatness of 'Falling Down," and a soon-to-retire cop taking on a dangerous, violent suspect brought me back to this Dabney Coleman movie. Before the question of whether or not "Die Hard" is a Christmas movie pops up like "Hans Gruber," here's a novel look how switched documents change a life. Detective Burt Simpson is a "by-the-book/careful" police detective who finds out that he's "got the short end of the stick" and turns into a "shoot me, I dare ya!" loose cannon overnight. It's no academy award candidate, but there are some interesting points being made. I (somewhat) remember this line from the movie: "Ya missed me! Wanna try again?" Korean remake: Car chase... Edited December 30, 2019 by Otokichi They don't make movies like this any more...
