Brad_M
And, arguably, more reachable than the Video Game females you are attacted to. You've got a good memory, Bazooka. I posted that many months ago. That was only a partial list of the most tantalizing video game femmes to ever appear in my living room.
Brad_M
I recognize that girl's smile in the above pic. If only I could remember where I saw it before. It'll come to me.
Yellowsnow
If nobody gets it in a day or two, would you mind telling what era she is from? She's originally from Dallas TX and had her heyday during the late 80's. This is what she looked like then

edna
The artist's name is Michelle Shocked. That was a hard lookup, I've never heard of her before. Oh, I know her!! She had an album called "Short, Sharp and Shocked", I remember the cover -a riot- and the I had her album "Captain Swing" in the late 80s... I think I even saw her live in Madrid... I was going to lots of concerts by then... and she was making somo promo in Spain.
Yellowsnow
She was probably better known in Europe than in her own country.
Brad_M
I guess so. Michelle Shocked, folk singer/songwriter, had 3 songs from 2 albums that made the Top 40 charts in the U.S. From her 1988 album, Short Sharp Shocked: "Anchorage" - Michelle Shocked - #16 Modern Rock Tracks chart, #66 Hot 100 chart "If Love Was A Train" - #20 Modern Rock Tracks chart, #33 Album Rock Tracks chart (now known as Mainstream Rock Tracks chart) From her 1999 album, Captain Swing: "On The Greener Side" - #19 Modern Rock Tracks chart

Brad_M
No, not Mike Mills. You're on the right track, though. It's an Alternative-rock singer/ songwriter/ guitarist who can also play many other instruments, as well.
edna
Are they similar to R.E.M.? I know, stupid question...
Brad_M
Not "they", edna, but "him". He's a solo artist who's breakthrough hit was a Top-10 hit in the U.S. in early 1994. He's an alternative artist like R.E.M. and he goes by his first name only. Maybe that's too much of a hint.
