Tony Baloni Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 (edited) Freshly recorded!! Roger was born on a summer day On a boat floatin on the San Pablo bay His father wasn't there and when he heard, he had nothin to say Roger grew up in San Rafael In his mother's house, to escape the hell He was trapped in at the hand of his father's evil spell Roger lives in a candyland His soul is blessed with a harsh hit hand Whatever it takes to get there again Spend his days in search of shame like heroin And if he fails to please He'll be brought to his knees In high school Roger joined the wrestling team Just to feel the other boys overpower his esteem He would rub against their skin to fulfill his nightly dream He didn't want p*ssy, he didn't want love That wasn't the release he was thinkin of His salvation came in leather gloves Roger lives in a candyland His soul is blessed with a harsh hit hand Whatever it takes to get there again Spend his days in search of shame like heroin And if he fails to please He'll be brought to his knees At the age of 17, Roger moved out of his dad's To find a place where he'd be free, free from all the thoughts he had He got a studio in the Castro He spent his nights alone with Phil Collins CD's and astro-glide. Farin Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 very nice and... 'interesting' lyrics too
Shawna Posted December 15, 2008 Report Posted December 15, 2008 this is very, very well-written, I think. I love the poetic use of the title, and you're being subtle and shouting at the same time with the words. Original, minimal use of words yet very descriptive, I really like this.
