  1. except that when it goes all up in your nayzyo you get crazeyo
  2. Yeah I'm pretty sure it's the modern slang for it, but I really don't know anythign about cocaine
  3. If you mean "rock history" then yes I would agree that Johnny B. Goode belongs at the top.
  4. another bad one: "ayo for yayo walk around with yayo all up in my nayz-yo i musta been craze yo" i have no problem with making up words like "nayzyo" or "craze yo" because they obviously mean "nasal" and "crazy" and they had to change them to make them rhyme. it doesn't even bother me that he rhymed yayo with yayo. i just think the line "walk around with yayo" is weird because it doesn't imply that he's snorting the yay or selling it or anything, it just puts the image in mind of some guy walking around holding a bag of coke.
  5. I am a defender of Kanye West about 55% of the time, but this line is just one of the worst, and unfortunately it's from one of his best songs (Jesus Walks) "For the victims of wellfare for we livin' in hell here...hell yeah" the first two rhymes would have worked, but why'd he have to throw in "hell yeah" to rhyme with "hell here?" It just doesn't make any sense since living on wellfare isn't something to say "hell yeah" about.
  6. "But you're probably wondering, what authority does this guy have to say these things? Isn't he, after all, "barely out of high school" as well? Certainly. But I am a Knight of Columbus." Nice letter dawg. I agree with Muzik that it's good to live and let live. People should be able to think and say whatever they want...and if they think someone else is wrong about something they should feel free to let it be known! haha. It would be a pretty lame existence if we just ignored those we disagree with, right?
  7. I wouldn't call it dreary, but "Ooh La La" by the Faces has regretfull lyrics: "I wish that I knew what I know now when I was younger" is the chorus
  8. have a good one dawg, 17 is an excellent year
  9. I Love You Man: C+ the script was not funny at all, the only good things about this movie were Paul Rudd and Jason Segel. Both of those guys are very funny, as usual. If it wasn't for them this movie would have really blown.
  10. Malcolm Macdowell, as far as I know
  11. the new Thermals album is a bit of a dissapointment each song is awesome on its own, but none of them have the energy that was found on their earlier albums, and it's really noticeable when listening to the entire thing.
  12. 2,011 more games per season seems like a bit much

    Hot or not

Haha seriously though, I think that post is the first time I've seen or heard anyone refer to Scarlett Johansson as "not hot!"
  14. I was at Mt Bachelor actually, fellow Oregonian! Muzik, glad everything's cleared up and that the thread is still ripe for good discussion! As long as we're on the topic of new music, I don't want to make it seem like everything I think is good today is experimental and pushing the envelope. Many of today's musicians receive attention simply for being really good at playing music (which makes sense, yeah?). A few examples I like a lot: The Dodos http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YhLRxui7vXU Sigur Ros http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sWiJWLiSKro&feature=related The Thermals (great pop music with punk lyrics. one of my personal favorites, possibly because we share the same hometown) The Fleet Foxes Sufjan Stevens: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDRrqcZbdPU

    Hot or not

    Yes agreed! Way too old!
  16. I feel like that song is/was pretty popular, not sure though.
  17. Excellent post LeeBB! I agree with everything you said. good call on the band shout-outs as well. I saw Battles in concert once and I nearly lost my mind. They are really out-there!
  18. also just saw Dilwale Dulhaniya le Jayenge and it was really entertaining, but it was so long! The only Bollywood movie I've ever seen, and it was good. I give it an A.
  19. I was really surprised when I saw that and loved it. Such a great feel-good movie. Burn After Reading: 7.9/10 it wasn't that funny, but it was pretty interesting and entertaining anyways. Easily my least favorite Coen brothers movie.
  20. I've decided that the next time I smoke will be as an old man, because by then, sitting on the couch drinking tea all day is all I'll want to do anyways, so no lost time!
  21. that song of their's makes me think of Adam Sandler, but I don't know why.
  22. I don't listen to much Zep anymore but the songs I still love are "Celebration Day" and "Wanton Song"
  23. "The Lemon Song" by Led Zeppelin was taken from something right?
