What was the one best year for music? I like 1967 the best. Great albums from the Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin (either 67 or 69, I'm not sure), Cream, Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band came out, and some other stuff I can't think of right now.

No offense, but if you are going to put down someone elses band, its pretty funny/ironic seeing you put up Guns n roses as your fave right after that! Don't get me wrong, I like their music, but they are probably the cheeziest band of all time.

First off, I guess this really isn't the best of everything. second, I was going to put this in Random thoughts, but this has to do with all sorts of media including music so I put it here. From each decade from 1950 to 2004, pick the best band, TV show, movie, and whatever else you would like to add (you can do decades before 50 if you want to). One rule for TV though, no reruns! The best show of 2004 can't be Simpsons reruns or Charlies Angels reruns or something. and it doesn't have to be the "best movie" just your favorite. For instance, Titanic is one of the "best movies" of the nineties, but I didn't like it. I'm not a big fan of rap/hiphop, I don't know why, but I just don't like it. The sound isn't very diverse, the drums stay the same the whole time, and I just don't like it very much. As for the lyrics, good lyrics are always well and good, but I have no problem listnening to a rock song with simple lyrics. "Im TNT! I'm Dynomite! I'm TNT! Gonna win the fight!" or "I believe in a thing called love, just listen to the rythym of the heart!" or "I wanna rock n roll all night! And party everyday!" are all good songs.

I've always wondered, what does R&B stand for? I heard it was Rythym&Blues but I've also heard Rythym&Bass. The first one makes more sense. What does it stand for?

Oh ok, now I think I get Snowblind (is it about someone leaving their girlfriend/wife behind on tour?)

Oh now I get it! I wouldn't have had to ask if I had just looked up the lyrics online, and then I would have gotten it! but I still don't get Spanish Castle Magic, Snowblind, or Stone Free. Just in case though, I think I will go and look up the lyrics!
