  1. Cherry Dr. Pepper and a breakfast burrito
  2. Y'all need to give me a break here - I've had two kiddos that are two years, three months, three weeks and three days apart and all of the sudden I'm a gum ball machine? No more kids...at least for a while. The two we have refuse to sleep at the same time so that mama and daddy can have "alone" time
  3. BIG hugs to you ((((Laurie))))
  4. You can, sweetie. You're allowed two noms per list
  5. I've had different faves at different times in my life (no pun intended? ) They include In My Life: of course! Sang this one to my son in the womb nearly every day. Strikes a particularly melancholy note for me these days, as many places/people are changed or gone from my life). Here Comes the Sun: One my mama sang to me as a child to cheer me up...and it still does. Makes me smile when I hear it and think of her singing the "do-dah do-doo" part I Saw Her Standing There: When I was just 17 and had the hugest crush on Paul Hey Jude: Literally the first song my son learned to sing. At 15 months old he was doing the "Na-na-na-nahs" and just a few months later started with the lyrics. He's a musical genius

I suppose the scene/song that really stands out for me is when they're playing cards on the train, with young Patti Boyd alongside them. Can't help but think that the song title in that scene ( I Should Have Known Better) is prophetic, at least for George. Editorial Reviews Amazon.com Strummmmm! That dramatic guitar chord that kicks of A Hard Day's Night (album, song, movie) still jumps right out at you, slaps you in the face, and jump-starts your heart. And you know what? Both the music and the film are still as crisp and lively as they were in 1964. Of course, only the first seven songs are actually in the movie (and they are the strongest of the bunch, from the rousing rock & roll of the title track and the hit single "Can't Buy Me Love," to the beautiful ballads "If I Fell" and "And I Love Her"). But nobody's going to complain about having songs like "I'll Cry Instead" and "Things We Said Today" in the second half of the record; they sure don't feel like leftovers. Yet another high-point for John, Paul, George, and Ringo--four fab fellows who hit the highest heights imaginable. --Jim Emerson

  12. Happy Belated Birthday, sweetie
  13. A year ago today my dad was gone. Everyone was blissfully unaware until Mom came home from work and found him...only 51 and a massive heart attack. I miss him terribly Remember the good times they're smaller in number and easier to recall Don't spend too much time on the bad times Their staggering in number and will be heavy as lead on your mind Don't waste a moment unhappy, invaluable moments gone with the leakage of time As we leave on our own separate journeys Moving west with the sun to a place buried deep within our minds Remember the good times they're smaller in number and easier to recall Willie Nelson
  14. Very nice, Lucky (and Martin). Y'all are a new mama's dream come true. Do you do dishes and laundry as well? I'm off to renominate the Dead

  17. Thanks, everyone I did manage without an epidural, but only because I had such wonderful support Walking is still questionable, I have taken a vow of celibacy and yeah, the 12 hours in the hospital almost did me in! She really is quite an eater...this teeny succubus has managed to get my milk to come in after only two days
  18. Actually, Mama Peachy had it right Annalee Jade July 30, 2007 at 9:53 a.m. 8 lbs (she was actually 7 lbs, 15.6 oz, but they round up) 19 3/4 inches She has a head full of dark hair with auburn highlights in the sun. Eating all the time - she latched on right after she was born for 30 minutes straight and hasn't slowed down since Successful VBAC after 36 hours of labor - 24 at home and 12 in the hospital. It was exhausting, but also very empowering and totally worth it I still can't believe I actually did it! Pictures soon, I promise. Can't find my USB cable at the moment
  19. RJ may be the date winner I've been up most of the night, and trying to sleep through the "twinges" hasn't been working so well. I had some tea and now I'm treating myself to a tylenol PM in an effort to get some rest... Today could be the day!
  20. Sex is quite a chore at this point...although the full moon in upon us and I'm seriously tempted. Maybe what got her in there will get her out?
  21. It was so good! And I hope the spices help nature along a little - curry is supposed to help
  22. Probably lots of stuff you'd consider junk food (I almost typed "drunk food" ) Tons of Naan with that yogurt/cucumber sauce (sorry, don't know what it's called) Mint Chutney and some Spicy Mango Chutney (the condiments are the best! ) Chicken Tandoori - was awesome Lamb Curry - yum Samosas and Bajii A veggie dish with okra and onions - kinda stir-fried and very good... Chai (of course) and some mango pudding. I think that's it
  23. For c-girl, edna, Sammy, Lucky and the numerous other Stones fans: Hank Williams III looks and sounds so much like his grandpa, it's spooky...
