  1. Ha ha, I better keep on my toes then! I got into 'he who must not be named' because of the song "Jack Sparrow" he did with The Lonely Island.
  2. A time traveler walks into a bar for the first time and orders a drink last week.
  3. I find some of the acting to be borderline humourous but that doesn't bother me because there's zombies! ZOMBIES!! I'm looking forward to the next season.
  4. The Traveler (2010), 6/10 It stars Val Kilmer. It's about a mysterious man who walks into a police station and confesses to murder, but thing is, the murders haven't even taken place yet! Dun dun, dunnn!!! I watched it on Netflix this evening because I was bored. It has gotten terrible reviews everywhere, so I had put off watching it for a while. I found it to be decent and fairly entertaining. Not a classic by any means. It's quite violent in some parts, so if you get queasy easy (and are underage), I'd recommend that you stay away from it! All hail Netflix!
  5. Garth Brooks was supposed to have 5 concerts in Dublin, Ireland soon but the whole thing has caused a massive kerfuffle. If you are interested in the story, you can find loads of articles about it online. Maybe some of you have heard about it already? Basically, 3 concerts were granted, then an extra 2 were granted, but the local residents weren't happy about that. And then add in some licensing issues and miscommunication between concert promotors and the local council and you've got a giant mess. I feel like it's an embarrassment to Ireland on an international scale, and has ramifications for the future. Croke Park holds 80,000 people, 400,000 tickets were sold. To put it into perspective, that's about 1/10th of the Irish population. An estimated 70,000 of those tickets were from non-Irish residents. An estimated (another estimate?!) €50 million or so would have been brought into the Irish economy. Hotels, restaurants, tourists and more will suffer. Worldwide famous acts might start to give Ireland a wide berth now, which wold be a shame.
  6. *Injects adrenaline shot into the thread's heart Has anyone heard Michael Bolton's latest album "Ain't No Mountain High Enough"? It's a collection of motown classics and he does a pretty good job with them. Leona Lewis sings on the title track with him and her harmonies are incredible, she even brings some new notes to the table! Lana Del Rey's latest album "Ultraviolence" is a big highlight for me. It's far more consistent than her previous album, and I prefer the production of it. Better songs sung better. Jack White's album "Lazaretto" is a great follow up to his debut solo album. The Black Keys have churned out another album steeped in classic rock with "Turn Blue". The first song on it sounds similar to a very familiar Pink Floyd song, but if you can get past that and you enjoy a bit of classic rock now and again you'd probably enjoy it.

Shades Of Cool - Lana Del Rey 8. What's My Age Again? - Blink-182 9. Somewhere Along The Way - Nat King Cole 10.Heat - David Bowie I nearly have 8,000 songs on my iPod; I'm very proud of that figure, as they all came from Cd's that I've purchased over the years. It's pretty easy to see that I am really digging Rammstein at the moment! The last track is my favourite from the album "The Next Day", it's my favourite David Bowie album! Am I commiting sacrilege by saying that? I hope not!
  9. That song doesn't do much for me I'm afraid. The vocal melody sounds very plain to me. I can appreciate the song structure, even though the recordings sounds a bit too over-produced. I wouldn't begrudge anyone for liking it, it's just not my thing at the moment. --- I was in HMV one day, and I didn't know anything about Lana Del Rey having brought out a new album (Ultravliolence); if I remember correctly, I bought it on the spot. I find it to be a far better album than her first one, because it has a less 'polished' production, the songwriting is better, and she sings better. It's as if she was transported through time from the 50's! This song is one of my favourite tracks from the album. The first time I heard those first few melody notes at the ctart of the chorus I got goosebumps!
