  4. I have three favorite songs of theirs when Phil Collins became the lead vocalist; Many Too Many, That's All, Follow You Follow Me. I like *some* of his 80s solo numbers, but I don't like the 90s-era Genesis at all.
  5. These Buffalo Chicken rolls from Totinos. They're not bad. Definitely a spicy kick to them.
  6. The One That Got Away - Katy Perry When I'm in the mood for fluffy, no-nonsense pop music, she's who I go to.
  7. Genesis isn't a 90s band, though. A 90s band to me is a group that got their start in that decade, not one that just happened to have a hit at that time. I don't like the song either, I prefer the material they did in the mid-to-late 70s/early 80s, but they don't belong on the list.
  8. Even if you didn't want to use any contemporary artists, the following female singers are NOT in the TT: Ella Fitzgerald Billie Holliday Kay Starr Pattie Page The McGuire Sisters The Andrews Sisters Rosemary Clooney That's just from the 30s-50s. I could go through my iTunes library and pull up about 50 female singers from the 1980s onward that aren't in either. I'm sorry, I'd much rather see one of those artists, or one of the myriad of female singers from the 1980s to the present get in, than see everyone nominating Aretha Franklin, Carole King, Joni Mitchell, and Diana Ross. They're in, we already know they're great. Why not let artists who've maybe never even been nominated before get their chance to shine?
  9. It'll require people stepping outside their carefully-drawn boundaries, but I think that special COULD be done without including artists already in the TT. There have been a lot of really good female singers in the last 10 years or so.
  10. Last Song - [color:teal]Edward Bear (1973) I Just Want To Be Your Everything - [color:teal]Andy Gibb (1977) I Just Wanna Stop - [color:teal]Gino Vannelli (1978)
  11. 1. Never Let Me Go - Florence + The Machine (2011) 2. Just A Game - Birdy (2012) 3. Mayhem - Imelda May (2010) 4. If You Leave - OMD (1986) 5. Vultures - John Mayer (2006) 6. Mother - Natalie Maines (2013) 7. Fireflies - Owl City (2009) 8. Lovecraft In Brooklyn - The Mountain Goats (2007) 9. When I Was Your Man - Bruno Mars (2013) 10. Demon To Lean On - Wavves (2013)
  12. Mayhem - Imelda May (2010) Never Let Me Go - Florence + The Machine (2011) Just A Game - Birdy (2012)
  13. If you're wanting to do a "New Artists" special, you should make it accurate to the title, and the songs nominated should be from artists who've only been around the last maybe 5 years or so. Because while there might be a song from 1929 that hasn't made the TT yet, I wouldn't call the person who performed it a "new artist." Otherwise just call it like it is: "Artists Who Haven't Made the Top Ten Yet."

  15. I like it. It's a catchy pop song; I remember listening to it constantly when it first came out.
  16. F*cking cancer. It always takes the good ones. Well, wherever the Lizard King is, he's got his keyboardist now. With Hendrix on guitar and Bonham on drums, that's a band worth selling a kidney for.

  23. The BBC show of the same name was pretty damn fantastic, as was its sequel, Ashes to Ashes. Every time I hear either of those two songs, I think of the TV shows.
  24. WOO-HOO! They haven't put a crap album out yet, so I expect this one to be just as good.
