  2. England has won 1:0. Weak game, but England is in the Quarter Finals now.
  3. Ihr koennt nach hause gehen, ihr koennt nach hause gehen...ohne sweden fahren wir nach berlin...
  4. Okay, this is more of a request, hope it's the appropriate forum... I'm looking for the 1982 Rolling Stone interview with Ronnie Lane and can't find it online. Maybe someone could help me? Thanks.
  5. Wasn't that in the other thread? But thanks a lot, bluesboy! EDIT: Sorry, didn't see the 'facts' in the title.
  6. I once saw Pete York playing at some (very) small Jazz concert, there were about fifty people there and noone knew he'd come...he did some great solos.
  7. That was one fine band, with who Jeff Beck did Beck's Bolero...they should've done more together. This'll get my vote too.
  8. But of course. He's second only to Tolkien.
  9. Especially for you, yes. Thanks, OLD55. And your songs are sure to get my vote.
  10. Shine a Light -- Rolling Stones Volunteers -- Jefferson Airplane
  11. Pink Floyd. I simply can't listen to Queen. I forced myself to listen to their albums so I could find out what everybody thinks is so great about them, but I haven't yet found out. I think I never will.
  12. Oh no, I didn't, I understand your point. It just see it differently, that's all.
  13. I mean I really agree with that, all this makes their music more famous and perhaps even gets them more fans, but still.. Well, just wanted to say that.
  14. Yes, of course it's me who's upset, and I never said that he's committing a terrible crime, but this is my opinion, and I just stated it. Yes, my own personal feelings towards the song are being interfered with, and is taking music serious really that bad? I'm not a fan of KISS but dislike their songs being used in commercials because I'm one of those people who think that songs used in commercials should be songs written especially for that purpose, and not others. I don't really see a connection between releasing a song on a 45 and using it in a commercial either, that's two very different things to me, because they're being used for a very different purpose.
  15. I think so, yes. I can, to some extent, understand bands who never made a penny and now sell heir rights to amke some money now, but Pete Townshend certainly doesn't have to worry about this. It's not even music-related products, and I can't see many connections between the music and the product either. I think music, and especially this kind of music (as opposed to Jessica Simpson, for example), is far too valuable to be used in commercials like this. It's not taking the music serious enough.
  16. Ok, here's another one, I just heard it on a TV show, and really liked it. I don't have much, though, they didn't play much of it. It was just an acoustic guitar and a steady beat, and I think a bit of keyboard at the end. Overall quite relaxed and quiet. The lyrics I got were: -go ahead -...chasing you -love me -you got nothing better to do (or you got nothing bad to do) -...enough to believe -it ain't gonna be awful anymore It's not much. It sounded rather new, and it was either a man singing or a woman with a very dark voice. Someone have any idea?
  17. Yes, that sounds very right. I'll have to wait till my Limewire works again until I can check, but I'm fairly certain that this is the song. Thanks!
  18. It's terrible to hear that he died. I didn't know he was ill.
  19. I recently heard I song that I've been trying to find since then. I think it's from the 60s, sounds like early Psychedelic, maybe also a bit like the Creation. It starts with a distorted guitar, and the lyrics I can rememeber were something about plastic men and something like "I look under my pillow, I look up and see something yellow". (well not like that, but with those words) It'd be great if someone could help me. Thanks.
