  1. (hanging head in shame ) Mea Culpa... Ladies and gents.. etc. etc.
  2. You're light, Edna! In fact I say "You clazy ? Mally lich famous white boy . Good you ! Big money diworce ! Loalties set you up big time ! Shut up !" * jillian, yeah lots of dough, but it's worth it ! * The original Japanese, of course, is much more lovely and... poetic !?

  4. Oh I velly velly Japonaise, wound-eyes ! You want twouble? My geisha, she say, "What mean ,Meh "? ::
  5. Jillian, Apple is coming out with an amp/speaker system (here already) which will play your i-pod like a full stereo system ! Also other do-hickeys such as an ...(wait for it)... underwater case and headphones --gleat !--- for picking brineys off the shore; as well as wrap-around i-pod covers for those who want to personalize their conventional looking models. :: Disclaimer: I do not work for, nor know, any persons connected with Apple corp. ( Give 'em a break though ,love, what more do you want ? ) ---Any responses are the property of Apple Inc. ---- ::
  6. Thanks, gents ! I did find some other info that may or may not pertain (be truthful) to the subject : C.C is also translated as a "crazy c--t", or an obviously 'good time' women , which has been mentioned. C.C also refers to a commander in the airforce, which to Vietnam-era vets, or military-types, could refer loosely as "my old lady", or "the boss", without the nasty reference.
  7. Thanks , ATC. Though nobody I want to see is coming to Japan --damn Animals,-- but maybe not confimed dates yet. A caution to all checking out Dr. Hook : great show, but you may have to wait a while until they care to show up ! Fantastic excuses will follow , though ! ::
  8. Ah, so desu ka ? Well can one put ragtime in the blues hierarchy then, or in IYO , is it strictly following a jazz progression ? :: Also, when Crosby met Armstrong ( and smoked some pretty heavy dope (picture THAT) in the 1920's, according to the BBC); was this a big turning moment in jazz with the musicians moving towards the lead singer , a new 'instrument' and later, the modern R& R, group ? ::
  9. "Abbey Road" -- you don't need any others ,really. Play it in a contiuous loop until you've decided either the Beatles are prophets from god or your mind is about to break --- should cover 1200 km (or your money back). Remember , though, when you get there; don't hurt them, after all, you did this to yourself and.... you're bloody pleased about it , too ! :: "One sweet dream ...came true... today..." Oh, Sammy, you can't top that...'Beatle bastards ,eh ?'..

    Help Us Out

Jr, go ahead ... WE'RE ALL VERY HAPPY HERE....(repeat) Don't sweat it about Amazon; if things go wrong, your claim should come up in...2~3 years !? It's fine. Try it -- and I'm trusting things to be shipped to Japan !
  11. "American Pie" FEELS like the longest song when it 's on the radio ! ( he ducks) This rant more likely belongs with the "Why Stairway.." thread, but to quote jillian, "meh", .... now honestly ! What in the hell does that mean ? (but it feels good though) PLEASE, someone....have mercy....I've done what could be considered to be back checking and I can't find it anywhere -- Meh ( I WILL use it foolishly if no one obliges) !
  12. Sorry, edna, I guess I should've used quotes but I was replying to Old 55 .....
  13. Without a doubt " You Never Give Me Your Money" where you hear such a variety of Beatle styles in a single tune, it isn't often a top-'o the -mind choice and ,well- -- it rocks !

    Oxygen '05

jillian.. it's in Ireland, right ? Any more details?...sounds fun
  15. Gees, well don't feel bad; it sounds like it's you or them !
  16. oh ,old 55, definately get yourself a Depeche Mode compilation ; "flies on the windscreen " will take on a whole new meaning as you're barrelling through Queensland... Oops, Damn ! Another koala !
  17. Hmm. It's like "Murder On the Orient Express". ::
  18. While you're here ,bluesboy, (ya gotta grab him while you can !) is ragtime considered a branch of, or in any way connected to, the blues family tree ? Musical interlude: The Entertainer --- don't be lazy, hum it in your own head !
  19. While I'd love to see this also, I think that there'd be way too much animosity and critical press by reviewers and especially fans over any interpretation of this band. Even with surviving Beatles on board as consultants it would likely be condemned by many who want a definitive (read: their point of view) account. Hopefully, Oliver Stone won't get his hands on it ! Pink Floyd's story might be might be more feasible as currently it's all against one --- or even Led Zep ,who have some wicked stories, but who have mostly kissed and made up.
  20. My, My ! A real stunner. Sorry, haven't heard any songs by her yet, though. I think rogerwaters likes her too; that's just his way of saying so -- kinda like the guy who pulls your hair at school.

    Give and Take

" Drive" has got to be one of the prettiest ballads going both lyrically and for melody. Give : The Clash
  22. Go i-pod. They're cute, leading the market currently (thus will be catered to), and God knows Apple needs all the friends they can get !
  23. Roadie, groupie (if your 'interesting' enough), unofficial (fairy-tale teller) biographer, limosine driver, bodyguard, 'friend' ( try and find one down and out for this as it's easier), agent, promoter, memorabillia seller, 'where -are -they-now ?" documentarian, ... the world's your oyster, blueeyes , enjoy!

    Disney movies

Bluesboy, I can hear the theme now, " Swamp Fox, Swamp Fox.....? " Yeah, I really liked their historical adventures the best. Say, wasn't Mel Gibson's "The Patriot" based on the same character ? ::
  25. Another simple offering. The first poster puts out the name of a band/artist ( hence 'Give') and a subsequent poster then 'takes' the group along with a comment as to WHY/WHAT they like about them/him/her. It could be simply a single tune, image, album cover, something they've said/done etc. Any reason will do, and one needn't at all be a big fan of the group to 'take' them. ex. Poster A: Give -- Captain and Tennile Poster B: Take -- Always enjoyed their single" Love Will Keep Us Together". Real 'feel-good' melody and lyrics. Give -- Blue Oyster Cult (etc.) I guess to help keep things moving, though, if no one has 'taken' the group after a reasonable amount of time (say 12hrs. or so), feel free to 'give' a new one. Subsequent posters can also 'take' a passed over group later, along with the present 'give', if they wish. Alternatively, the poster of an untaken group may post again, 'take' his own group (along with reason), and 'give' another. Hmm. Hope I haven't made this complex.... :: To Start: Give -- Blondie
