  1. I recall that the music in "Justify My Love" is either taken from, or very, very similar to, the music in a Lenny Kravitz song, and after some back-and-forth he was listed as a co-writer to avoid lawsuits over royalties.
  2. My "old school" votes": "The Magnificent Dance" by the Clash "Sleepless" by King Crimson "Voices Inside My Head" by the Police "Low Rider" by War "Sample and Hold" by Neil Young "Riders On the Storm" by The Doors "Whipping Post" (primarily the intro) by the Allman Brothers "I'm a Man" by Chicago
  3. A few suggestions: "Get Off" - by Foxy "Get Off Your A** and Jam" by Parliament "Cosmic Slop", by Funkadelic "Soul FInger" by the Bar-Kays "WWF Oddities", by Insane Clown Posse "Rock and a Hard Place", by the Rolling Stones
  4. How about a bunch of bands containing siblings all named "Wilson"? The Beach Boys (though sadly only one is still alive) Wilson-Phillips (daughters of Brian Wilson) The Gap Band (popular R&B group - Robert, Charles, Ronnie Wilson) Mandrill (popular R&B group of the 70's - Rick, Carlos, Louis Wilson) HT
  5. Captain Beefheart played on 2 songs on the Tubes 1977 album "Now".
  6. Anyone have a clue about this song? I heard it on a soul oldies radio program, and never caught the title or artist... it starts something like (phonetic spelling) "Yayo posado, por essa costa, I've been all through this thing..." pointers to the song, artist, or lyrics would be appreciated. Thanks!
  7. "Whipping Post", by the Allman Brothers Band. Perfect.
