  1. That's it. I'm nominatin' Rodney..... And Peachy for the best use of parenthesis and astrixs.
  2. Rodney Carrington sings one for all the Songfacts girls..... Ladies?
  3. I never did understand what "Joo Joo Eyeballs" (Beatles, Come Together) meant....
  4. This would be the place that you can put a video of your favorite band's 'signature' performance. Something you feel sets that band apart from all else because of that one performance. For me, it's AC/DC's perfoemance of The Jack . A fazillion people singing in unison about an STD, and a pint-sized guitar demon laying down the most soulful blistering guitar solo I've ever heard. Ken.
  5. Right, being such an Adonis yourself..... Gimme a break, I'm getting in shape. I chose round. Round is a shape, innit?

    If I had 1,000,000

They are such an intrinsically............ Canadian band. The wit, the geekyness, the entire package. I saw them live and it was like partying with a bunch of high school friends...
  7. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blind_Faith_(album) When Blind Faith released this album cover, it caused quite a furor...
  8. You guys shame me.... I thought this was a place for high(er) class people. When you decide to raise your levels of good taste, I'll be at my favorite establishment....
  9. Yeah, but back then you had the DJ's talking over at least the first 5 seconds of the song, the last bit of the song, that annoying tape hiss, it's not like the stuff today. Then you had to sit and wait for hours for your favorite song, I don't know about you guys but I had to point my ghetto blaster at a different radio and record that way. And half of my recordings, you got my Dad screaming my name to come for dinner. And then mine, "SHUT UP! I'M TAPING!" (That one directed at my sister...). I can see why they get bent out of shape. With the file sharing programs out now, no waiting for your favorite song, and CD quality songs, instantly.
  10. By "bad', I meant the crud that is on the radio that bombards me all day long....
  11. Every now and again I need to wash the bad off with the good. Patsy Cline -- "Crazy"
  12. Jimmy Buffett My Head Hurts, My Feet Stink, and I Don't Love Jesus My head hurts, my feet stink, and I don't love Jesus (oh my lordy it's that...) It's that kind of mornin' Really was that kind of night Tryin' to tell myself that my condition is improvin' And if I don't die by Thursday I'll be roarin' Friday night Went down to the snake pit To drink a little beer Listen to the jukebox Merle was comin' in clear All of a sudden I wad'n alone Pickin' country music with ol' Joe Bones Duval Street was rockin' My eyes they starting poppin' Because there she sat at the corner of the bar As I broke another string on my ol' guitar Someone call a cab Lady won'tcha pay my tab And now my head hurts, my feet stink, and I don't love Jesus (oh my lordy it's that...) It's that kinda mornin' Really was that kinda night Tryin' to tell myself that my condition is improvin' And if I don't die by Thursday I'll be roarin' Friday night Let me tell ya, I be roarin' Friday night I mean I'll be Roarin' Friday Night

    Mama

From "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" The Cox Family I am Weary (Let Me Rest) Kiss me mother kiss your darlin' Lay my head upon your breast Throw your loving arms around me I am weary let me rest Seems the light is swiftly fading Brighter scenes they do now show I am standing by the river Angels wait to take me home Kiss me mother kiss your darlin' See the pain upon my brow While I'll soon be with the angels Fate has dimmed my future now Through the years you've always loved me And my life you've tried to save But now I shall slumber sweetly In a deep and lonely grave Kiss me mother kiss your darlin' Lay my head upon your breast Throw your loving arms around me I am weary let me rest I am weary let me rest
  15. This isn't about differences in faith(s), it's about Alice singing about parking his weenie in a cadaver on Saturday night and singing the praises of Jaysus come Sunday morning.....
  16. I was just surprised that people who write/sing songs about doing the squishy-squashy flippy- floppy with dead folks considered themselves Christian, is all.
  17. Yeah, that is what I was thinking. I have no issues with anyone's religion, it's just that one has expectations when you make a statement like that, and singing songs like "Cold Ethyl" and "I Love The Dead" kind of run concurrent to the expectations one might have about a Born Again. Oh well, it takes all kinds to make the world go 'round....
  18. The Tea Party originates from my hometown of LaSalle, Ontario. I went to the same high school as singer Jeff Martin and Jeff Burrows. Martin's parents still live on the same street not far from where I live.
  19. I saw this and wanted to put my head in a tree-chipper. I think it's wonderful he is helping at trouble teens, but seriously.... The author of "Cold Ethyl", a Christian? Like Buffett says, "Everything seems to be wrong"....... Alice on CNN
  20. Quick, someone find a barbecue.....
