The Seeker
LONDON, Nov. 6 (UPI) -- A movement is reportedly afoot to reopen the investigation into the 1969 death of Rolling Stones guitarist Brian Jones at his Hartfield, England, estate. Jones' drowning death was attributed to the substantial amount of drugs and alcohol found in his body, but Brian Jones Fan Club Chairman Trevor Hobley says in a BBC documentary that he has "damning new evidence" pointing toward murder, the Daily Mail reported Monday. Hobley said he was preparing to present his evidence to the attorney general in the hope of getting Jones' body exhumed for a new autopsy. "Brian Jones is the silent witness that carries the exact cause of his death and the only way that we're ever going to get to the truth is to have Brian Jones' body exhumed," he said. Hobley's theory is included in Monday night's episode of the BBC's "Inside Out West" series focusing on Jones' death. Jones was a founding member of the Rolling Stones and even named the group, but was kicked out of the band three weeks before his death because of his excessive partying. © Copyright 2006 United Press International, Inc. The Seeker
I know the forum which Hobley owns, I don't post there, but I visit it quite often...it does sound reasonable to me what's being said there.
