Seems to me it is about a woman who is in pursuit of happiness but never gives anything a long enough time to make her happy. She gets bored too easily - she's flighty, or indifferent. They did so with Jackie Blue by omitting the last verse which IMO, is more thought provoking and pretty well sums up what the whole tune is about ...
