This is very local to me, same town in fact, so I want to get the word out about this venture which will give 40% of CD sales to Cornish charities. A couple of my friends were involved, and I think the singer has a great voice!

Cornwall: The Song

Many Cornish hopefuls took place in a competition to be ambassador for "Cornwall: The Song". Marc Lloyd Ellery was the winner, and recorded in Corn Mill Studio along with Camborne Town Band.

Please take a look!

Cornwall

When you cross the Tamar Bridge

Into this legendary land.

King Arthur and his knights at Tintagel

Ghosts of ship wrecks lost in the sand.

This is Cornwall, sunshine and sea

Cornwall, that's where I want to be, Down in Cornwall.

Excalibur still lies unclaimed

In the waters of Dozmary Pool.

Across Bodmin Moor past Jamaica Inn

Down the coast to Men-an-tol.

You're in Cornwall, sunshine and sea

Cornwall, that's where I want to be, Down in Cornwall.

Can't you see those Phoenician ships off St.Ives?

It's just a trick of the light, a trick of the light

On a clear night.

Hear Tregeagle crying down in Marazion

As we look across to St.Michael's Mount.

Flora days in Helston town

More happy faces than you could ever count.

You're in Cornwall, sunshine and sea

Cornwall, that's where I want to be, Down in Cornwall.

When you first breathe that clean Cornish air

You can almost taste the past.

See the Smugglers and the Wreckers

Fight those Atlantic rollers

And nothing ever moves too fast.

This is Cornwall, sunshine and sea

Cornwall, that's where I want to be, Down in Cornwall.

Can't you see those Phoenician ships off St.Ives?

It's just a trick of the light, a trick of the light

On a clear night.

This is Cornwall, sunshine and sea

Cornwall, that's where I want to be, Down in Cornwall.

This is Cornwall, sunshine and sea

Cornwall, that's where I want to be, Down in Cornwall. Fade to end.

and now for the proper Cornish language...
