They used to go by the name Half-Nelson early on, but their debut album tanked. Then, their manager got the idea to change their name to The Sparks and re-release teh album. The rest of quirky falsetto history :: Weird thing is, most fans hate the album Music That You Can Dance To, which is my favourite As a side note, this is where The Gleaming Spires got their start too. Anyone remember The Gleaming Spires? "Are You Ready For The Sex Girls?"
