GG: Okay, so how does an angry and hateful song such as "Ready to Die" fit into your generally exuberant attitude? Is that song aimed at anyone in particular?

AWK: The way I thought of it was, this country?s pretty easy. Most neighborhoods and most cities and most towns don?t deal with life or death situations, beyond car accidents and health issues. But there are certainly neighborhoods and cities where people live in war zones. I thought that if you could, well, not live in their mindset, but apply that level of intensity into your daily life?as in, if I knew I?d die today, would I be living that day like it was the last? That?s where the idea came from. And the lyrics, I just wanted them to be intense.
