I recently heard the Eels "Novocaine for the Soul" and when E sings "Before I sputter out" it sounds just like the male vocalist in the other song (Definitely not by the Eels). I wish I could give more details on the song, but this is what I can remember. It's probably 10-15 or so years old. It's a guy and a girl who each sing like a verse by one then a verse by the other. I think it was either about LA or summer and/or the video was in LA or southern Cali. It's a good song that got a fair amount of radio play and is still on every once in a while. I am not aware of any other hits by the band.
