Carl
A little maintenance today, and thanks to Josh and Zhivko a smooth transition. Thanks for your patience, and here's a song: High Maintenance Woman - Toby Keith
Brad_M
Thanks, Carl. I couldn't access the forum yesterday or this morning by going directly to the forum via http://forum.songfacts.com I had to go to the main Songfacts page and click on the Message Board link to get through. Brad_M
6:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, still the same. Won't connect unless I go thru the main page.
Zhivko
6:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, still the same. Won't connect unless I go thru the main page. How is now Brad? DNS took some time to kick in, and this time is different for the different parts of the world. Anywhere in between 2h - 72 hours. I guess everything should fine now. Btw, be sure to flush your dns cache (browser or computer). Many times the problem for this is just that the browser keeps trying to connect to the old IP resolved to the address. Brad_M
It's working now. I flushed the DNS cache like you said and I also deleted my old shortcut, then accessed the forum from the main page and created a new shortcut on my toolbar for the hell of it. Thanks, Zhivko. Rayzor
I was having the same problem, so I just deleted my old shortcut and made a new one. Worked fine after that. I'm not tech saavy enough to know what DNS cache is... and I don't wanna delete something I need trying to find out!
Carl
Yeah, your computer stores info from pages you visit so that it doesn't need to load them over and over. But when this info changes, your computer will get confused. Clearing the cache can solve the problem.
