The Orb and David Gilmour have a new album coming out

For those who may not know, The Orb is an ambient/electronica group -- they've done a few remixes of PF songs and they've stated that they're heavily influenced by them.

Basically what started as David contributing guitar to a couple tracks, ended up being spread out across the whole of the album and it's being billed as "The Orb featuring David Gilmour". Which is incredibly exciting if you're a fan of both people/groups, as I am.

You can go here to watch the EPK for the album, which will give you a taste of what to expect on the record and the album will be released October 12th here in the US and October 11th in the UK. It's great to see David back in the studio making new music, no matter in what form it's coming out.
