HereNorThere
I am looking for the name of the female Reggae artist who sang a Gospel versian of the Redemption Song. She also did a song similar to John, Martin, & Bobby, but with the names of Bob Marley and a couple of others..I taped it off St. Thomas, VI. radio 20 yrs. ago..Also looking for a song that goes, "Jah Jah make the sun shine, Jah Jah for the rain...the shackles and the chains.." then medleys into, "I'm going home, just tell someone to meet me I'm coming home" These are just partial words, but there are references to Nicodemus "willing be ranting"..I never heard these songs again. MindCrime
I searched the AllMusic Database and the only gospel versions I found were less than 20 years ago by: The Black & White Gospel Singers (2004) The Waiting Kind (2009) Clicking the link at the top of this post, might give you more information I taped it off St. Thomas, VI. radio 20 yrs. ago.. I take it you're not 17?
Farin
I am looking for the name of the female Reggae artist who sang a Gospel versian of the Redemption Song. I found a version by Angelique Kidjo, it could be that that's much younger than 20 years though...
MindCrime
it could be that that's much younger than 20 years though... It wasn't released until this year on a compilation titled: Oh Happy Day; though it might be much older.
