  1. Yeah, me too. So many TV shows would make good movies. Reno 911, Stella. I guess just Reno 911 and Stella.

I watched Stella for the first time last night and laughed so hard I think I hurt myself. I have loved those guys (and some of the Reno crew) since their days of The State.

  2. I want to make a CD with songs that have the words moon, sky, star or sun in their titles. So far I have:

    Moon

    Moon River--Andy Williams

    Moon Dance--Van Morrison

    Moon Shadow--Cat Stevens

    Sky

    Sky High--Jigsaw

    Spirit in the Sky--Norman Greenbaum

    Star

    Shooting Star--Bad Company

Shining Star--The Manhattans and Earth Wind and Fire

    Star Man--Bowie

    Star Baby--The Guess Who

    Star Collector--The Monkees

    Sun

    Sunshine--Jonathan Edwards

    Sunny--Classics IV

You Are the Sunshine of My Life--Stevie Wonder

    Sundown--Gordon Lightfoot

    Sunny Came Home--Shawn Colvin

    Sunshine Superman--Donovan

    Sunshine of Your Love--Cream

    Any more suggestions?

ABBA - Take A Chance On Me

    (written by: B.Andersson/B.Ulvaeus)

If you change your mind, I'm the first in line

    Honey I'm still free

    Take a chance on me

If you need me, let me know, gonna be around

If you've got no place to go, if you're feeling down

If you're all alone when the pretty birds have flown

    Honey I'm still free

    Take a chance on me

Gonna do my very best and it ain't no lie

If you put me to the test, if you let me try

    Take a chance on me

(That's all I ask of you honey)

    Take a chance on me

We can go dancing, we can go walking, as long as we're together

Listen to some music, maybe just talking, get to know you better

    'Cos you know I've got

So much that I wanna do, when I dream I'm alone with you

    It's magic

You want me to leave it there, afraid of a love affair

    But I think you know

    That I can't let go

If you change your mind, I'm the first in line

    Honey I'm still free

    Take a chance on me

If you need me, let me know, gonna be around

If you've got no place to go, if you're feeling down

If you're all alone when the pretty birds have flown

    Honey I'm still free

    Take a chance on me

Gonna do my very best and it ain't no lie

If you put me to the test, if you let me try

    Take a chance on me

(Come on, give me a break will you?)

    Take a chance on me

Oh you can take your time baby, I'm in no hurry, know I'm gonna get you

You don't wanna hurt me, baby don't worry, I ain't gonna let you

    Let me tell you now

My love is strong enough to last when things are rough

    It's magic

You say that I waste my time but I can't get you off my mind

    No I can't let go

    'Cos I love you so

If you change your mind, I'm the first in line

    Honey I'm still free

    Take a chance on me

If you need me, let me know, gonna be around

If you've got no place to go, if you're feeling down

If you're all alone when the pretty birds have flown

    Honey I'm still free

    Take a chance on me

Gonna do my very best, baby can't you see

Gotta put me to the test, take a chance on me

(Take a chance, take a chance, take a chance on me)

Ba ba ba ba baa, ba ba ba ba baa

    Honey I'm still free

    Take a chance on me

Gonna do my very best, baby can't you see

Gotta put me to the test, take a chance on me

(Take a chance, take a chance, take a chance on me)

Ba ba ba ba baa, ba ba ba ba baa ba-ba

    Honey I'm still free

    Take a chance on me

  4. Ryan Adams does a good cover of Oasis' Wonderwall, and The Corrs did a beautiful cover of Ryan's "When the Stars Go Blue." I like Manfred Mann's cover of Quinn the Eskimo better than Dylan's original, and 10,000 Maniacs did a great version of "Because the Night" on their MTV Unplugged performance.

  5. DJ-Joe Piscapo played Frank to Eddie's Stevie. In the late 80s and 90s Phil Hartman played Frank. A really funny sketch had Frank as the leader of his own McLaughlin Group type show. He put both Billy Idol and Sinead O'Connor in their place. Phil also did Frank in some sketches about the Duets album. Rosie O'Donnel played Liza Minelli, and Adam Sandler played Bono.

  6. I recall a song from the late 70s when I was just a wee one. The song talks about a high school reunion and one of the verses begins "Lovely Linda, she loked so fine," and the chorus goes "but he's doing what he wants to." I can't remember the band. I think the song might be called High School Reunion, but my search for that title has been fruitless. Does any one remember this song?

  7. My preferred insult is f***tard, but for some reason it's not socially acceptable to go around calling people that.

ah yes, F***tard is a good one! A Geek is "a performer of grotesque or depraved acts in a carnival, etc., such as biting the head off a live chicken."
