I thought that this was a joke. I'm not sure what to make of "Folsom Prison Blues" turned into "Barbie Girl." How will this play on Corporate Radio? Press PLAY to see what our Robot Overlords will do with Pop music...

There are Bluetooth speakers and there are stereo speaker pairs. "Techmoan" has found an exception to that observation with TWO Bluetooth speakers. First off, these are 250 Pounds Sterling EACH. (Matt bought a "lightly used" one on eBay.) Second, Bluetooth "pairing" is the least of your worries. Press PLAY to find out why "Techmoan" likes these as a pair.;)

The Summer of 2023 is "in the can." I wonder how many things can be blamed/explained away by this phrase. Oh well, The Fall looms ahead...

OK, you Kevin Coster/"Waterworld" disser, how about building your own Atoll on post-apocalyptic Earth? Older player/Boffin/Bodger "Robert Monkey" is your guide through another kind of "life on the water " game. Press PLAY if you think you can do better than Kevin Costner's "Mariner.";)

Surfing around YouTube, I found a YouTube site that takes a very close look at movies. In this segment, the characters in "The Karate Kid" and their interactions are examined. Other segments ask what makes a certain movie great, even though underrated. Press PLAY to see if this video maker's analysis about Karate Sensei Miyagi vs. Creese is accurate.

How small can a record player get and still sound "good"? I looked up the Mighty Tiny mini record player, but more on that later. "Techmoan" saw the "creepy ad" for the Mighty Tiny and looked for one with mini records. He got one that wasn't working, so this is a "back from the dead" video. Press PLAY to see/hear if Matt succeeded in repairing the Mighty Tiny.

I'd seen but not heard this musician on the BBC News website and filed it away as "find out more about this song." On YouTube, I typed up "2023 songs" and this was near the top of the pile. I clicked on the link and heard another "Try That In A Small Town"-like song. Press PLAY even if Country music isn't your cup of Oolong, it's a powerful (sorta) lament...

Sometimes, just seeing a musician from your youth, still playing a Classic/meaningful song with a great supporting band is all you need. Press PLAY if Al Stewart's "Year of the Cat" still means something to you!;)

I was expecting something about Hillary Swank's role as "Brandon Teena"/Tina Brandon, but came across something completely different. So, when is it OK for John Wayne to go "Niagara Falls"? Press PLAY to find out where/when it's OK for Mr. Neanderthal to "cry like a little girl..."

A Mark Felton video about SMERSH searching for Adolf Hitler prompted some people to suggest that "Mr. Hilter" escaped and lived out his days in Argentina. I looked up a half-remembered tune by that named and posted link to it. (I'll get to that later, once I find out which Ronnie composed it.) This led me to remember a great 1960's instrumental, "Java." I looked for it under Jazz, but I finally had to do an "Al Hirt" search. This delightful 1965 TV clip showed up, and here it is, to brighten your day.;)

The "Two Guys From Andromeda" created Sierra Online's "Space Quest" series, which introduced us to Space Janitor Roger Wilco, who isn't/wasn't a "Rambo clone." I ran across a YouTube History teacher who supplied the link to "StarvHarv" and his "English-foreign language-English" mashup. It was so delightfully strange/wrong/incredible that I followed the link. The result? Far stranger/funnier than "Drunk History"! Press PLAY if you want a Bizarro World version of World War II. (Some of it sounds like Monty Python!;)
