  1. Who? Guess Who? Never heard of em. I'm just so busy working in hell that we never really get the chance to practice, but here's a little solo project I'm doing. South 24 It's a little sloppy, but no big deal
  2. Yes, when I think of Rick Wright, the first thing that comes to mind is all the farfisa solos on Piper, and then of course Sysyphus.
  3. I don't know about all of you, but I'm really hoping a Heavy Sandwich album comes out this year..
  4. I just got to work, I HATE my job with a burning passion, it's hell there. Anyway, I get there, and everybodys walking out of the building, so a dude comes up to me and whistles "hey! no work today! the computer system crashed!" Duuude, I've never done Ecstasy before, but I'm in it right now :guitar: :guitar:
  5. We're all music buffs here, so I'm sure some of you out there are (or were) in a band, right? If you are in a band, do you have, like, a myspace or website or anything? I think it would be cool to hear our fellow songfactors jam! I'm in a band called "What?" but we hardly ever practice.
  6. Yeah I agree whole heartedly. If I could meet anyone from Pink Floyd, it would be Rick. I wanted to meet Syd really bad, and I was in Cambridge three days before he died, I looked for him but didn't know. Some drunk vagrant who accosted me was telling me he'd ride through the campus in a motorized wheelchair frequently. But then he also told me that the people selling magazines were all conspirators trying to run him out of business.
  7. I always thought Rick Wright sounded nervous and skittish when he played. In a cute way though, like a little kid. Roger was so mean to poor li'l Rick.
  8. It's cool to see someone with Bari Sax as their main instrument, let alone a chick!
  9. These guys get props for having so much soul: Ben Folds Elton John Bob Seger Billy Joel Rick Wakeman Herbie Hancock, who was pretty innovative too And for technical skill and innovation: Keith Emerson (to me, the most talented man to ever lay hands on a synthesizer) Jordan Rudess And of course, the guy who, for me at least, started bringing true emotion into music, Ludwig von Beethoven And I don't really listen to Jazz religiously, but I've heard some amazing Jazz pianists. I think Diana Krall is pretty good. So go ahead and tell me who you guys think should be included!
  10. I think a new Of Montreal would be sweet this year. I never pay attention on the radio when they're talking about albums that are coming out. A it's about time for a new Strokes album.
  11. Is that Allison Krause/ Robert Plant song Gone Gone Gone from this year?
  12. Hahaha me too. This is really cool, if you go to their website, they have chapters all around the world, I'm gonna join the Detroit one!
  13. Lol well yeah, that's what I figured, but then when Barry said "Most folks seem to associate Ten Years After with "I'm going Home"" I figured maybe that was the name of the song, cause I've only ever heard one song by them.
  14. Lol no, just when I get slap happy, I think it's funny to misspell thingz on perpiz.
  15. Haha they were known of in England!? I thought they were more or less a local phenomena. The drummer Rick Stevers lives about 15 minutes away from me. I've been to his house once, and he has got so much cool musical equipment in his basement. He used to have a mellotron he said but he got rid of it. If I had 2000 spare dollars lying around, It would definitely be going towards one of those! edit: not that I have ADD or anything...
  16. My default song right now is this little thing I was playing on piano until my dad come downstairs and unleashed the demons of hell on me. I really wanna record this song before I forget it though and share it with ya'll.
