Don't be cranky Jane we love you I know you don't wanna hear this but I wish you were still working lol I was really enjoying you today. As for music likes and dislikes I like pretty much everything to some extent. I even like Celtic, River dance (the tapping is music to me)African drums, Native American... I also like the music from Cirque Du Soleil. Not sure if I stated that right or not. I heard the music on a movie but can't remember the name of it now. Only the two songs that charmed me. Alegria and Child in His Eyes. Both beautiful songs. I love old and new county both. I grew up on it. My dad had a band and my mother also sang as did my brother and I. I love Hoyt Axton, The Highwaymen and Clint Black among many many others. The first song I can recall to memory is a song called Rocking Alone In and Old Rocking Chair. I like a lot of Eminem but mostly his older funny stuff. Like I said I like most everything and if I have had no exposure to it, I'm more then happy to give it a listen. I think the music people love or even hate is a very very personal thing. I find something to like in most all music but classic rock is my first love. I would never start a fight over someone else's choice of music. It's just...wrong. If you don't at least sample other kinds of music you miss out on a big part of music as a whole. Like my signature says ....

I'm not sure if the song I want to nominate is Rap or Hip Hop. But it doesnt matter to me because I like the song. I can say (and I'm sure this will rile a lot of you) but a lot of the music I hear the kids listening to today is disrespectful and that's the main reason I can honestly say I don't like it much at all. By disrespectful I mean to men,women,races,classes rich and poor... Just about everybody. I find that sad. I truly belive EVERYONE deserves respect and I don't care who they are. That is my reason for not liking most, but not all, of the music that is out there today. A lot of it I really do like but a lot of it I have no use for at all. I tried to veiw them Farin but YouTube won't let me

I love the fiddle and I spent most of my teens in Calif. And seriously, I have a rap song I was gonna nominated for one of the top tens. Looks like no one will vote for it but I'm gonna nominate it away And thanks Jane I love the song your playing. Alot.

I love Charlie Daniel´s myself Lucky. I think it started out being on my list but was one of the one's that got moved off when ppl started nominating more songs. I'll use as an example this weeks nominations. I now have 19 songs I have to decide between and removing one to replace it with another just horrifies me But, it is the top 10 so I only get to choose 10. I can't believe I am going to have to leave off so many of my top favs and I think one of yours in very near the top of my list this week. As for defending my tastes in music I agree with Jane. Personally my heart belongs to classic rock. The only kind of music I can say I don't go out of my way to listen to is Opera, and Classical. I would never diss it tho and I'm sure a lot of ppl would accuse me of lacking taste. I know my dad would, that's all he ever listened to. Depending on my mood depends on what I listen to. Might be Country tomorrow (new or old I love both) then again I might be in the mood for some heavy metal or rap I don't usually remark on other ppls noms much but that because I didn't really think we were supposed to and I' more of a listener and reader that I am a chatter. I've post more here then I ever have on any other site I have belonged to Please don't have hurt feelings I'm sure no one here meant to make you feel that way

In the book Paul kind of blames Yoko Ono because she told him they could get it for 5mil instead of the 20mil that was being asked for it. So they waited and Jackson got it. He says he thought MJ was just kidding about buying the catalogue so he didn't think mush about it after their first conversation. The book also said Paul was told by his legal people it would take time to come up with that much cash. I think that was why he approached Yoko. The book says he approached her because a lot of the songs were Johns and he felt morally obligated to make the offer to go 50/50 with her. I still got the feeling he approached her because he didn't want to come up with all the needed money his self.

and twenty cents

I just listened to the audio book McCartney: Yesterday and Today at work tonight. Very disappointing. I think I wasted my money on that one. I was kind of surprised I didn't like it at all because I had really liked The Beatles: The Biography. I'm such a Beatles fan I didn't think any book about them would be a complete disappointment:( The McCartney book focused on how upset he was that Michael Jackson owns The Beatles Catalog and refuses to sell it back. I can't really blame him for feeling that way. But, to ok someone (Ray Coleman) to write a whole book about the way your business dealing were mishandled is to say in the least somewhat a bore. 90% of the book was about bad business management. The author also implies that until McCartney wrote and recorded Yesterday nobody paid much attention to the Beatles. Can't say I agree with that at all. I guess the vague publisher's summary should have tipped me off The only good thing I can say about it is it was short . But I still love um I'm just surprised Paul authorized it. But on a brighter note, Yesterday is an excellent song
