Thanks

I'm not sure exactly where to put this, but I figured this would be ok.
www.myspace.com/fourwaters
That's a link to my band, Four Waters. We're 5 high school juniors from New York. We play hard rock/blues. We only have one song recorded right now.
Please, give me all feedback, positive or negative. Just know that the recording is very low quality, we're only 16/17, and our singer doesn't know how to sing. I'm the drummer.
Thanks guys.

Don't Let Your Son Go Down On Me
Hahaha

I can see for Miles.
Wow, I am a pun master.
-
I think on the "Jimi Hendrix: Live at the Filmore East" DVD, someone says Miles Davis said something like, "I wish I could have jammed with [Hendrix]."
I might be mistaken though.

This is pretty easy for me.....Jim Morrison.

"Real Good Looking Boy" by the Who
-
Brown Sugar by the Rolling Stones
-
"Since I've Been Loving You" - Led Zeppelin
and as shameful and possibly off target as this is, "Every Rose Has It's Thorn" by Poison. That is the only Poison song I will listen to. Feel free to make fun of me.

www.wikipedia.org is great for anything.

Thanks, I've been meaning to start this thread myself.

Didn't you say in another topic that your daughter is 12?
EDIT: On further research, in that post you specified that it was your youngest daughter and you didn't even give an age.
SUMMARY: I JUST MADE THAT UP

I love the beginning of Roadhouse Blues:
"Ladies and Gentlemen.......from Los Angeles, California......THE DOORS!"

Much better resume than what's-her'whore's. I'd rather marry him.

Damn, calm down. First of all, I never said anything about staying power, so that's a pointless argument. I liked Franz Ferdinand and the Killers, but there's something lacking about their sound to me. It's just nothing particularly new or powerful. It's good when I have my music on shuffle or something, but I don't find their stuff particularly great. I haven't heard all of those other bands so I can't comment.
I thought we were discussing popular music in the first place. The idea is that most kids are mostly exposed to the crap played on MTV or Fuse or whatever you have in England.
-
Former Mets pitcher Rick Aguilera? Oh, Christina. I don't give a ****.
-
Geddy Lee

I see that you're from England. I don't know what's popular there, but I don't consider 50 Cent, Britney Spears, and all the emo bands that sound exactly alike decent music. Maybe there are good bands that go under the radar, but I've yet to hear them.
The last good album I know of is RHCP's "Californication", released in 1999 I believe.

New music sucks. Everyone sounds the same. It's all corporate crap that is disguised to make kids feel like they're rebels.
-
I'm a junior in high school and it's disgusting how little my peers know about any music before they were in 6th grade. My friends and I have been conducting polls to see how much other kids know about classic rock. Most kids in my school have no idea who David Bowie is. Most kids have heard of Stairway to Heaven, but don't know who Led Zeppelin is or can't name another song by them. It makes me ashamed to be part of a generation who calls Coheed and Cambria "amazingly talented" and "musical geniuses"

"Over the Hills and Far Away" and "The Ocean" on the "How the West was Won" are far better than the studio versions.

The Clash.

A better love song does not exist.

What about the Red Hot Chili Peppers? They had a few albums in the 80s, but had the most success Blood Sex Sugar Magik and Californication in the 90s.
