I am in my teens now, and i have been defending the beatles, and although ron wrote a essay worthy for a standardized test, i read it. and i totally and utterly agree with it.I disagree. I can't stand alot of the music that was out when I was in my teens. It was brit-pop and dance music. I tapped into music from other peoples 'teen years' ::
to people who do not like the beatles - all i'm asking is recongize how good thay were and how influntail (srry bad spelling). i think linkin park is overrated,
yet i sorta have to respect them, cuz i can't play any instrment they can.

You make some pretty good points here. However, I don't think anyone ever claimed the Beatles were great musicians. That's not the issue here, I don't think.
I have to disagree though, when you say you should only think about the music when you listen. Music also evokes emotions, reninds you of a certain time in your life, of that special person.
No, music isn't just about the instruments and the chords and whatnot. It's much deeper than that.
amen. i'm not particually god at any one instrument, i can play ONE handed piano (i know it pathetic), so i don't really now what going on with the intrustrments, etc.
All i know is it sounds good, and i like it.
the reason i said listen to the white ablum is that sooooooooooooo many people today have heard one or two songs by the beatles, usually the early stuff ( ), and don't really know how much they formed tdays rock music.
i just reread the end of yr post - the music is the producing, effects, and instrumentation. Music , to me is aything, nothing and everything. why do you think i'm here?

i really wish i had bought that suitcase - that guy better get to keep that stuff.
He bought it!
awesome news.

As a five year old, i had the jagged little pill tape. when i was around eight, it died, so a year ago i bought the cd, and fell in love again.
now, her hair is gone, and she's happy. the music isn't that good. her voice is still great, though.

i have younger siblings - much younger siblings, whom are 9 and 6, who still listen to anything that has a good beat - hence they love rap and pop. mostly britney spears, unfortuantely.
My brother has a ccd player, so i constantly burn him cds with good music. if they grow up listening to main stream music, i kill myself in shame.
as for parents, my mom loved queen. and i, recently have been stealing queen cds from my friends and ripping them into the computer. every time i burn a copy for myself, she insits that i burn a copy for her too. mom has good taste.

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise.
Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these sunken eyes and learn to see
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to be free.
Blackbird fly Blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night.
Blackbird fly Blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night.
Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
You were only waiting for this moment to arise.
and there's a sad story to go with it, too. The girls called apple scruffs, who were fans of beatles, were outside paul's house, and paul just opened the window, sat on the edge and started playing. very sweet.

Wrong!!
And I've never gotten U2, they make some good records, but they aren't that amazing.
Kiss is so over rated. all flames and long tongues. all show, no basis in reality.

a) I would have to say Pearl Jam. I know they haven't gotten much commercial success as of late, but it seems to be big news everytime they're back in the studio.
I would have to say The Beatles. I've just never understood what all the fuss is about.
Totally wrong. won't try to reason with you; just do me a favor and take a listen to the White Ablum. compare to what you here in today's rock.

Slightly cliche . . . but good.
My grandmother died recently. i wasn't very close to her, but she had a complicated family history - which i never thought to ask her of. silly me.

Joss stone is amazing. I've only heard clips, but that blew me away . . . very soulfull, very blues, jazzy sounding.

The killers? Some of the songs . . . believe me natilae, maybe . . .the killers are a bit of a stretch . . . definetly Jet . a Dj at the radio station made a joke about how beatles - ish it was. he put on british accents and talked in that breathy way the beatles did
