  1. I suppose that could be possible, because the voices were identical...but how did this King Harvest single end up on a complete Van Morrison CD? :: Let me explain: I grabbed the King Harvest version 2 years ago from the entire "AM Gold Collection". I grabbed Dancing in the Moonlight and a bunch of 70?s tunes ? only the ones I wanted. This morning, Van Morrison's entire "The Best Of Van Morrison (Remastered)" CD was posted. I grabbed only the songs I wanted from the CD; Dancing in the Moonlight came off this album. The songs on Van Morrison's CD were, in this order: 01. Baby Please Don?t Go 02. Gloria 03. Here Comes The Night 04. Mystic Eyes 05. Brown Eyed Girl 06. And It Stoned Me 07. Dancing In The Moonlight 08. Moondance 09. Into The Mystic 10. Domino 11. Blue Money 12. Wild Night 13. Tupelo Honey 14. Jackie Wilson Said 15. Bright Side Of The Road 16. Crazy Love 17. Full Force Gale 18. Dweller On The Threshold 19. Cleaning Windows 20. Queen Of The Slipstream 21. Have I Told You Lately
  2. I somehow managed to get both songs playing at exactly the same time: Van Morrison on Media Player and King Harvest on Creative Player. There was no difference in voice, timing, pitch, speed, etc. They're the same person aren't they?
  3. I have the MP3 for "Dancing in the Moonlight" from both Van Morrison and King Harvest. They sound SO MUCH alike it's unbelievable. I kept going back and forth between songs. I absolutely cannot tell the difference! :: Someone please tell me if in fact two DIFFERENT people are singing this song.
  4. Sorry...I worded that improperly. OOPS! Give me a dope slap! I meant BORING personal lives of artists JT and Carole King - it doesnt exactly intrigue me to imagine their sex lives. ::
  5. Nope! Personal lives of any artists that boring (JT and Carole King) is as much fun as watching paint dry. :: PS...instead of always apologizing for your spelling, why not type everything in Word, use spell check, then copy and paste your posts here? ::
  6. In the 70's, the bond between Carly Simon & James Taylor was matrimonial.
  7. Trampled Under Foot In the Evening Battle of Evermore
  8. You won't believe what I found in my MP3 directory. Remember that song from Chuck Berry "My Ding-A-Ling-A-Ling"? that was out when we were little kids? I didn't even know I had this tune, but played it and I laughed so hard I cried! When I was a little bitty boy My grandmother bought me a cute little toy. Silver bells hanging on a string, She told me it was my ding a ling a ling. Oh, my ding a ling, my ding a ling, I want you to play with my ding a ling. My ding a ling, my ding a ling, I want you to play with my ding a ling. And then mama took me took me to grammar school, But I stopped off in the vestibule. Every time that bell would ring, They?d catch me playing with my ding a ling a ling. Oh, my ding a ling, my ding a ling, I want you to play with my ding a ling. My ding a ling, my ding a ling, I want you to play with my ding a ling. Once I was climbing the garden wall. I slipped and had a terrible fall. I fell so hard I heard bells ring, But I held on to my ding a ling. Oh, my ding a ling, my ding a ling, I want you to play with my ding a ling. My ding a ling, my ding a ling, I want you to play with my ding a ling. Once I was swimming across turtle creek, Man, them snappers all around my feet. Sure was hard swimmin' across that thing With both hands holding my ding a ling. Oh, my ding a ling, my ding a ling, I want you to play with my ding a ling. My ding a ling, my ding a ling, I want you to play with my ding a ling. This here song, it ain't so sad. The cutest little song you ever had. Those of you who will not sing, You must be playing with your own ding a ling. Oh, my ding a ling, my ding a ling, I want you to play with my ding a ling. My ding a ling, my ding a ling, I want you to play with my ding a ling. Your ding a ling, your ding a ling, We saw you playing with your ding a ling. My ding a ling, everybody sing, I want to play with my ding, Everybody, my ding a ling, Oh my ding a ling, I want to play with my ding a ling.
  9. Ken: Now that was funny! Wir werden tanzen, bis die Sterne ermüdet sind (we will dance until the stars get tired)! Somehow it doesn't sound too sexy in German! LMAO!
  10. More R&B, Funk and Soul songs! Al Wilson - Show And Tell Aretha Franklin - Respect Barry White - Never Never Gonna Give You Up Commodores - Sail On George Benson - On Broadway Lou Rawls - You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine Manhattens - Let's Just Kiss and Say Goodbye Marvin Gaye - Mercy, Mercy Me O'Jays - Used To Be My Girl Robert Flack & Donny Hathaway - Where Is The Love Wild Cherry - Play That Funky Music Earth, Wind & Fire - Fantasy Ben E King - Stand By Me Martha Reeves & The Vandellas - Heatwave Percy Sledge - When a Man Loves a Woman Supremes - Reflections Stevie Wonder - Living for the City Marvin Gaye - Sexual Healing (1980's) Bill Withers - Ain't No Sunshine Chi-Lites - Oh Girl
  11. I love, love, love Motown! When people think R&B they think of only black musicians, but other bands or songs from other bands are actually considered R&B or funk, like Spirit's "I Got a Line on You"...one of my all time favorites. KC & the Sunshine Band was considered funk - love them! Okay, I'll sing the first line of this and I know everyone knows the rest, "Do a little dance..." Ken, you and me...we're goin' dancin'! LOL!
  12. Some of the best R&B artists came out of the late 60's and 70's. What are your favorites? Which ones do your remember? Some of my favorties are: Supremes - Love Child Al Green - Let's Stay Together Bill Withers - Ain't No Sunshine Commodores - Brick House Marvin Gaye - Let's Get It On O'Jays - Love Train Spinners - I'll Be Around Stevie Wonder - Superstition Temptations - Reach Out Earth, Wind & Fire - That's the Way of the World
  13. No particular order: Pearl Jam Led Zeppelin Pink Floyd Aerosmith The Cult Rush Boston Lynard Skynard AC/DC The Stones
  14. The words "Smokestack Lightning" come from Fire Woman from The Cult!
  15. 'Heartbreaker' always goes right into 'Living Loving Maid'. <---- HEY LOOK! It's Cartman! Son of a B**ch.
  16. I cannot think of any band that sounds like: The Who Foreigner Boston
  17. David Coverdale: what a Robert Plant knock off/rip off. Ever hear "In the Still of the Night" by Whitesnake? The whole "oooh baby" part is so obviously (and ridiculously) Robert Plant! Scott Stapp from Creed on the other hand - well, Ed Vedder is such an amazing singer. Scott should be flattered.
  18. Hmmm...similarities. First there is the original rocker, then there is a band with a similar style or voice, and then of course, there is always the wannabe. Here is what I came up with so far: - Pink Floyd, Queensryche - Led Zeppelin, Whitesnake - Metallica, Marilyn Manson - Jimi Hendrix, Eddie Van Halen - Stevie Nicks, Mazzy Star - Hall & Oates, Bryan Adams - Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles - Debbie Gibson, Britney Spears - New Kids on the Block, Backstreet Boys - Pearl Jam, Creed - Diana Ross, Michael Jackson - ABBA, Ace of Base - Yes, Rush, and The Fixx - David Lee Roth, Kid Rock - Cyndi Lauper, Gwen Steffani - Gloria Estefan, Celine Dion - David Bowie, David Byrne - Sade, Dido - Bob Dylan, Tom Petty - The Doors, The Cult
  19. Oooooh....you mean like Liberace and Elton John::? LOL! When I think of more I'll be back!
  20. Chaff, yes Ed got the whole Ticket Master ball rolling, which was a noble effort, but when it came time to be sworn in at by The Department of Justice, Ed was not even there; Jeff and Stone were the ones to testify. That to me was a sign of no follow-through on his commitment. I suppose it could have been that Ed was busy & Jeff and Stone were there on behalf of the entire band, but I saw it more as them being there on behalf of Ed when it became clear to Ed that it was an uphill, and ultimately a losing battle: as if Ed didn't want to deal with it and wanted to save face. He really should have been there. Ed has historically done things that were a bit controversial, and has said things that have been a case of "open foot insert mouth". He can be -- or could be pretty volatile and a real ranter & raver, but the one thing he's got is charisma...that's just Ed; love him or leave him. He's chilled out...thankfully. Probably a sign of that maturity you mentioned. And Seattle: nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there, simply because of the weather. When I was there it rained and rained - and rained some more. Between PMS and SAD (seasonal affect disorder)...I'd go insane. I'd be on a bell tower picking people off. LOL! Kidding!
  21. I would definitely love to go to The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame; it would be worth the trip from here -- even by car. I just think that Rolling Stone is of questionable character for allowing personal dislikes to rule over what should actually be ::.
  22. As long as he does not don a mohawk ever again! Hair down to the middle of their backs looked great on them while in their mid 20's, but they're all getting up there: 40, 39, 38, 37. Time to clean up...LOL! It seems like musicians reach a certain age or stage when they chop the locks...most memorable to me being Joe Perry and Metallica.
  23. People in Seattle don't really seem to care about star status -- it isn't like that. Well, I know for a fact that Ed had a delusional, pathological liar of a woman :: all caught up in him! I met her; it was scary. Unfortunately it is the nature of the beast. PJ is not an image based band; they don't put themselves out there more than necessary, but nonetheless people talk s**t. They assume, assess, guess, speculate, get the rumor mill going, etc. They're targets just like every other celebrity, but they don't consider themselves stars -- and that is what's refreshing .
