  1. Well, I think he means, you shouldn't think of the score and notice it seperately from the movie. They are supposed to go together as one, and the score is supposed to be part of the movie, and enhance the mood of the scene.

  2. How could I forget him!? I have only heard the album Trilogy, but man, it's great. I love the beggining of the first song, I forget the name, but where he plays the piano really fast with some african sounding drums. It sounds like some chase scene through the amazon jungle with some natives and tourists.

  3. Yeah, they did that with Blinded By The Light. You know, that could be the source of all the confusion about ELO! I think that may have just answered my question. Some moron credits it to ELO, ignorant people downlaod it and think it's ELO so they don't change it, and it spreads like a virus.

  4. Hey, well top 3 isn't bad. I myself am beggining to like DSoTM better than The Wall, but there is just something about The Wall. It's a really good and complicated concept, I think. But I love the song Us and Them.

    "Up and down, but in the end, it's only round and round"

    Great song. Also, Time and Eclipse. Really, every song on DSoTM is pure genius. Which is probably why it in truthfulness is better than The Wall. The Wall isn't strong all the way through. You just finish with a moving, well written song like Vera, and then you hit Bring The Boys Back Home, which a 10 year old could've written.

  5. One of These days- Pink Floyd. There is some cool mixing and effects, but it sounds like a bunch of high school kids trying to jam. And don't forget the wonderful lyric. It's not really that bad of a song, but it is ok at best. And I hear people talk about it like it's great. I must be missing something then, because I just don't see what the big deal is.

  6. Maybe not. I view remixes somtimes as a director's love for a film so much, he wants to direct his own version of it, to be a part of it. But then again, it could be the laziness thing. I don't have a problem with remakes at all. Just so long as they are good. It is rare I will see a remake that is better than the original. I am always biased to think the original is better anyway.

  7. Don't Bring Down was ok. Just a little too flamboyant. Getting rid of their string section was a mistake, although I did like the song Twilight. On second thought, they did Time when they had the strings, right?

    {edit: I forgot to add in Shangri-La, on A New World Record. That is my favorite song on the record. Probably the most complicated, and most well-recorded.}

  8. They are more innovative musically than ELO. But, don't get me wrong, there was a time, not to long ago, when ELO was my favorite band. They are still up there. I love ELO, and Telephone Line was great. I also like Waterfall a lot too. That's not to common of an ELO song, but it's one of my favorites.

  9. The initials of all their first names. I heard once that KISS stands for knight's in satan's service. But anyone who paints their face like a kitty and smiles like a dork while tapping on the drums could be that satanic. I don't think that's what KISS stands for. CSNY! Good one.
