I found this site by google after songmeanings.com shut down.
-
Does it get airplay often? I don't think I've ever heard it.
-
All rap songs seem to have to do with being a "street kid."
-
I'm not really an REM fan that much, but I have never heard Shiny Happy People, or even anyone talking about it, so I guess it's not that overrated.
-
I like the Beatles. Cool name. Beetles, like the insect, but since they had rhythym, the BEATles. Pretty cool.
-
Who's Mark Knopfler?
-
This sight ought to help you. I think I'm gonna buy me one of those John Lennon T-shirts.
-
Well, I think he means, you shouldn't think of the score and notice it seperately from the movie. They are supposed to go together as one, and the score is supposed to be part of the movie, and enhance the mood of the scene.

Oh I would.

How could I forget him!? I have only heard the album Trilogy, but man, it's great. I love the beggining of the first song, I forget the name, but where he plays the piano really fast with some african sounding drums. It sounds like some chase scene through the amazon jungle with some natives and tourists.

Yeah, they did that with Blinded By The Light. You know, that could be the source of all the confusion about ELO! I think that may have just answered my question. Some moron credits it to ELO, ignorant people downlaod it and think it's ELO so they don't change it, and it spreads like a virus.

On the turning away by post-waters pink floyd.
I have only heard a handful of post-Waters Pink Floyd. Keep Talking, High Hopes, and something else I forget. I liked them. Will you reccomend me some albums?

I thought of a few more:
DMB: Dave Matthews Band
EWF: Earth Wind & Fire

Hey, well top 3 isn't bad. I myself am beggining to like DSoTM better than The Wall, but there is just something about The Wall. It's a really good and complicated concept, I think. But I love the song Us and Them.
"Up and down, but in the end, it's only round and round"
Great song. Also, Time and Eclipse. Really, every song on DSoTM is pure genius. Which is probably why it in truthfulness is better than The Wall. The Wall isn't strong all the way through. You just finish with a moving, well written song like Vera, and then you hit Bring The Boys Back Home, which a 10 year old could've written.

One of These days- Pink Floyd. There is some cool mixing and effects, but it sounds like a bunch of high school kids trying to jam. And don't forget the wonderful lyric. It's not really that bad of a song, but it is ok at best. And I hear people talk about it like it's great. I must be missing something then, because I just don't see what the big deal is.

Not everyone has a**holes. Some woman without a lower half.

I have never heard Blue Oyster Cult called BOC before. Also, nobody mentioned TB. The Beatles.
-
Maybe not. I view remixes somtimes as a director's love for a film so much, he wants to direct his own version of it, to be a part of it. But then again, it could be the laziness thing. I don't have a problem with remakes at all. Just so long as they are good. It is rare I will see a remake that is better than the original. I am always biased to think the original is better anyway.

Don't Bring Down was ok. Just a little too flamboyant. Getting rid of their string section was a mistake, although I did like the song Twilight. On second thought, they did Time when they had the strings, right?
{edit: I forgot to add in Shangri-La, on A New World Record. That is my favorite song on the record. Probably the most complicated, and most well-recorded.}

How about "The Pregnant Teen Who Ran Away and Became A Street Kid"? It's a rare Beatles song.
-
Ah, it's a tale as old as time. Two Chinese fall in love, have a family, and rip eachothers hearts out and feed them to the dog. It just softens your heart, doesn't it?
-
Oh, so my explaination wasn't good enough for you?Abba is "father" in Hebrew but the band claims that to be unintentional - rather it is an acronym for the first names of the band members: Agnetha, Björn, Benny and Anni-Frid (Frida). -
They are more innovative musically than ELO. But, don't get me wrong, there was a time, not to long ago, when ELO was my favorite band. They are still up there. I love ELO, and Telephone Line was great. I also like Waterfall a lot too. That's not to common of an ELO song, but it's one of my favorites.

The initials of all their first names. I heard once that KISS stands for knight's in satan's service. But anyone who paints their face like a kitty and smiles like a dork while tapping on the drums could be that satanic. I don't think that's what KISS stands for. CSNY! Good one.
