  1. I'm not sure if that's the correct title, I found this in my audio folder, and figured I must've downloaded it a while ago. The band name is listed as Focus, but it definitely isn't Focus. So I'm not sure if they got the title wrong too. I really like the song. I listened to the lyrics, and was able to pick out the following:

Is there something to say after a long goodbye?

It?s never too later than you recognize

Getting to know you like I knew myself

    I couldn?t help

Turn away look at something else

Bye bye, I wish you well

Bye bye, I wish you well

Answer the phone in a familiar voice

You came back, I didn?t have a choice

I wanted to tell you what I tried to say

You said hey, may I speak of her, and I said okay.

Bye bye, I wish you well

Bye bye, I wish you well

Know you and me, we make the same mistakes

I?m seeing a pattern in the moves you make

You got an angel, took a dive again

So put on his wings and be a standard

Bye bye, I wish you well

Bye bye, I wish you well

You got an angel, took a dive and you?re stressed as well

Bye bye, I wish you well

Bye bye, I wish you well

Bye bye, I wish you well

Bye bye, I?m gonna wish you well

Bye bye, I?m gonna wish you well

  2. Yes, they were originally working on a soundtrack to Zabriske Point, but the director was very picky, and wore them out. So a lot of the songs got reworked to be in their jam session concert, called Eclipse, that would later become Dark Side of The Moon. There is a DVD of the making of DSoTM, and it shows Rick Wright not knowing his chord theory. It was adorable.

  3. I like the synthesizer solo on the song Delta by Delta. Also the synth solo on Karn Evil 9, Lucky Man, Trilogy. Also, there's a giant piano solo Keith Emerson did live, on their Then And Now CD, simply entitled: "Piano Improvisations". The single most amazing thing I've ever heard. I also like the Fender Rhodes solo on Sheep.

  5. There's an Al Dimeola song that he plays with Steve Vai, but I don't know what it's called, and in the beginning there's a radio switching around and it lands on some action sequence with an orchestra, and I just heard that part of the song in a commercial.
