A friend of mine has a '57 Chev Bel Aire. I was floored when he told me it cost him well over 8 grand just for having it rechromed. Each part has to be stripped, treated, dried, dipped in a number of chemicals prior to the rechroming. Teal blue over white leather interior. Something tells me they won't be drooling over an '85 Omni or Pontiac Sunfire years from now....
