I don't know why I didn't think of asking you guys this. If anyone would know it would be you guys. These words have ran through my head for a good part of my life. Since I was about 15 or so I guess and I'm as old as dirt now.

All I can remember is this much:

I remember a time when everyone I loved hated me because I loved them,so what, so what, so ******* what

I think the last words of the last line is:

so what, so what, so nitty, nitty what.

But, I'm not sure.

I was told it was a poem Lennon wrote but I have never been able to find the rest of it or it's origins and believe me I've tried.

Anyone ever hear of it? It's probably something easy and I just don't know where to look.

I would love to read the whole thing again. Anybody know anything about it??

Thanks Edna, I had googled it several times when I thought about it over the years and never found anything.

It makes me wonder if maybe someone used his words and wrote a poem around it. Stuff like that happens a lot and I was highschool age.

If I recall it had like four versus to it but now I wonder if maybe his words weren't incorporated into someone else's poem. And we all know what that's called don't we.

I have heard of this too, it definitely sounds familiar. I think it was in a letter to Stuart Sutcliffe... if I was at home I could try to look it up, but I don't have my books here.
