miamisammy29
Eddie Murphy did reach Number 8 in 1985, but he was no longer on SNL at the time. Will Smith is absolutely correct, with "Summertime" reaching Number One. However, NEITHER ONE OF THEM DESERVED AN OSCAR NOMINATION OR A TOP TEN SINGLE!! Brad_M
Yes, Will Smith was overlooked as a correct answer and I have added him to the correct answer list.. The song "Summertime" peaked at #4 in 1991 when he was starring in the TV sitcom, "The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air" and he was part of the rap duo "D.J. Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince." He has also received Academy Award nominations. Eddie Murphy is an incorrect answer. Sammy is correct that Eddie Murphy was no longer a member of "Saturday Night Live" when he released the single "Party All The Time" in 1985. The song peaked at #2. Eddie left the TV show in 1984. He finally received his first Academy Award nomination this year.
