Country singer Freddy Fender, who had two big crossover hits in 1975 with "Before the Next Teardrop Falls" and "Wasted Days & Wasted Nights," and was in the Texas Tornadoes along with the late Doug Sahm (of the Sir Douglas Quintet), has died. Story here.
