Veteran rock act ZZ Top has ended its run with RCA, to which it signed a reported five-album, $30 million contract in 1992. The group has also parted ways with longtime manager Bill Ham of Lone Wolf Management, who has worked with guitarist Billy F. Gibbons since the late 1960s.

ZZ Top's final RCA album was 2003's "Mescalero," which spent only three weeks on The Billboard 200. The group's most successful album to date is 1983's "Eliminator," which has been certified for U.S. shipments of 10 million copies, according to the Recording Industry Association of America.

Gibbons, bassist Dusty Hill and drummer Frank Beard have been off the road since completing a tour last November in New York. Gibbons also recently guested with the Raconteurs on the MTV Video Music Awards, performing ZZ Top's "Cheap Sunglasses."

"For nearly four decades we have made music history together," Ham said in a statement. "Lone Wolf will always be grateful for the overwhelming loyalty and support from fans around the world, the labels, the promoters, the agencies, the vendors, the media, and so many others who helped make this possible. We wish the band all the best for continued success."
