Here are the answers:

1. What hit from the '80s has a phone number in the title?

Jenny (867-5309) by Tommy Tutone

2. What '90s song mentions a llama, an emu and a monkey?

If I Had $1,000,000 by Barenaked Ladies

3. What famous Rock group released a song named after a famous basketball player?

The Red Hot Chili Peppers (They had 2 songs, "Magic Johnson" or "Salute To Kareem" [in reference to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar])

Five For Fighting ("Michael Jordan")

Screaming Headless Torsos ("Darryl Dawkins' Sound of Love")

Pearl Jam was also a popular guess but is an incorrect answer for the following reason:

The question asks for a "song" named after a famous basketball player.

The band went by the name "Mookie Blaylock" (player for the New Jersey Nets) before changing their name to Pearl Jam and they also titled their debut album after his number "10", but they did not write a song named after him.

4. Which female artist was offered the lead singer spot in Van Halen but she declined the opportunity, preferring to try a solo career?

Patty Smyth

Sass Jordan was also a popular guess but is an incorrect answer for the following reasons:

The question asks which female artist was offered the lead singer spot the lead singer spot in Van Halen but declined to try a solo career.

Although Van Halen had her audition for them upon the departure of Sammy Hagar, Sass Jordan was not actually asked by Van Halen to join the group. She also was not part of a group at the time and looking to pursue a solo career as she was already an established solo artist.

Patty Smyth was offered the singer spot in Van Halen after the departure of David Lee Roth but she turned down their offer. She was in the band Scandal at the time and decided to pursue a solo career instead of joining Van Halen.

5. What popular singer played an abusive ex-husband in a 2000 movie?

Jon Bon Jovi (In the movie "Pay It Forward")

6. What popular singer's first name is Polly?

P.J. Harvey (Her name is Polly Jean Harvey. At first, " P.J. Harvey" was the name of her band.)

7. What Rock group starred in a movie where the students take over their school? One of their songs is the name of the movie.

The Ramones (Rock And Roll High School)

8. What singer born in the '70s brought a professional basketball player to her prom?

Brandy

9. What group from the '60s performed with shaved heads?

The Pyramids

The Monks

Slade

Genesis was also a popular guess but is incorrect for the following reason:

The band did not perform with shaved heads in the 60s. Phil Collins didn't join the group until 1970 and he was the only member to shave his head in later years.

The above 3 groups had all members shave their heads in the 60s as a gimmick.

10. What Scottish Rock group was named after a song by an American duo?

Deacon Blue (They're named after Steely Dan's "Deacon Blues")
