Tenacious_Peaches
What does "mudshovel" mean? I have read the lyrics, and I understand that someone has royally pissed him off, but apparently I am missing something. Help?
MuzikTyme
Peaches, I absolutely love Staind! What I get is a mudshovel is someone who puts up with the crap of someone else. She's his mudshovel. The more she shovels it, the more he puts in it. I'm really digging "For You" as I type this. :: This song's got it all! -For You- To my mother, to my father, It's your son or it's your daughter, Are my screams loud enough for you to hear me? Should I turn this up for you? I sit here locked inside my head Remembering everything you said The silence gets us nowhere! Gets us nowhere way too fast! The silence is what kills me I need someone here to help me But you don't know how to listen And let me make my decisions 'Cause I sit here locked inside my head remembering everything you said The silence gets us nowhere! Gets us nowhere way too fast! All your insults and your curses make me feel like I'm not a person And I feel like I am nothing but you made me so do something 'Cause I'm [bleep] up because you are Need attention, attention you couldn't give I sit here locked inside my head Remembering everything you said The silence get us nowhere! Gets us nowhere way too fast
Tenacious_Peaches
I get it! Thanks, Muzik. I like them, too, but I feel sorry for poor Aaron. Obviously he must have had one hellacious childhood to write the songs that he does. But, good gravy, it can't be all that bad, can it? Go run through a meadow on a cool spring day, rub a puppy dog on his furry little tummy, listen to a little baby laugh, look deep into the eyes of someone who loves you...dude, life can be pretty good sometimes. MuzikTyme
I agree. I'm very impressed with his song writing. Sounds like he grew up fast. I have to admit, that's one catchy chorus in For You and I love the heavy guitar. What's he singing through? A paper towel roll?
